Would be extremely happy if we could land Michael... seems to have a few character concerns though...

Love Simon. Took him in the second round of the TSF fantasy draft for the Pats.

williams will flat out hit but is a little slow i think. i remember a fb dive against georgia tech. williams ran over him. literally, he stepped on his chest after knocking him backwards

I just watched the Simon vs. Nebraska 2012 tape. It's easy to see why the Steelers like him. He is one of the rare 3-4 OLB prospects who flashes the potential to be as strong against the run as Harrison. He's very strong at the point of attack. He also has some very effective inside pass rush moves. The Nebraska left tackle was pretty much helpless against him, and they had to double him to keep him off of Martinez. The negative that I saw - a few of the read option plays showed why his change of direction ability is being questioned. On that Nebraska tape, there were a few occasions where it looked to me like he lacked the physical ability to shift to the ballcarrier when he saw who was getting the ball. It looked like his eyes were on the ball, but his body was too slow to follow. Overall a very positive game tape, but I wonder if he's an OLB prospect or a pure 4-3 DE. I will be watching more of him, that's for sure.

For better or for worse, I think if Simon is there in the 3rd round, and the Steelers didn't already address OLB in the first 2 rounds, they will jump all over him.

i think it all depends on how much we like robinson, and how much he improved over the season. i like simon. i have seen sites that even have him slipping into rd.4.

they will break him of that spin move he uses too much. it takes him out of plays sometimes. of course all the pass rushers need work before they jump up in competition.

michael mauti and josh boyce to visit this week.

both are coming off injury and both are very good players. boyce a wr from TCU is shorter, but fast and strong. he's a good receiver and one of my favorites in the draft.

mauti is a LB from Penn St. he's been hurt a couple of times, but is a very solid LB when healthy.

there is alot of really good college talent this year thats injured. we could probably make a whole draft out of them and when healthy have an outstanding draft. waiting for them may not be an option for us this year though.

I agree, Mac. Mauti's got a high ceiling. His ACL rehabs are cause for concern, but he's solid when healthy.

LB Malliciah Goodman in for a visit today, too.

Franklin would be a solid round 2 pick if we don't sign Bradshaw. Reminds me a little of Ray Rice.

Some tweets on the main page say that Sio Moore (LB) from UCONN is visiting today. I have watched him in person about a dozen times. He's a really good player who could fit our scheme as an ILB, although his best position in the NFL may be as an OLB in a 4-3 defense. I would love to get him in the 3rd, but probably not earlier.
