So it's in the CBA that any QB released and money still on the books with another team has to sign for the league minimum? Or did Russ do that on his own? Kirk may indeed do it if released, or he may like that feeling of his bank getting double bag. In other words we do not know if the 'cons are releasing him, and if so when, and how much it will cost. So leave the fantasy stuff with Madden and let us stew in peace, lol.

ahonestly do not know if he screwed it, having money vs throwing it away, he made offers to both parties, they both chose other places. How much more should he have offered for inferior talent? Yea we need a QB, We do not need locked in a deal. With Fields it was less, but with Darnold it couldset you back 3 years, just not worth it.

The Falcons have no reason to release him, even with the "$10 million roster bonus" due in a few days.
His salary is $27 million. If he is released, they have to pay the difference between his salary and whatever he signs for. No one is going to pay him more than vet minimum, since the Falcons have to make up the difference. If they release him, the money they save is going to be taken up by whoever they sign as a backup.
His $10 million roster bonus isn't payable until next year- it's actually taking his bonus which was only guaranteed for injury to a fully guaranteed bonus. If he goes next year,
they're only on the hook for $10 million minus whatever he signs for. And Cousins isn't going to sign for less than $10 mil, so there's no loss there.

Up to $6 million. Have to see what the base salary is, but looks like another 6th round comp.

Any money the Steelers paid Russ last year would have been paid to Denver. This is why Russ signef a league minimum contract to screw the Broncos out of as much money as possible.

It is the old saying about having too many cooks in the Kitchen

Having a $180 million backup QB on the roster when you have a young QB does not ever work. Having the fans chant for the other guy can demoralize a young kid.

Van Jefferson, Mike Williams, Dan Moore, Najee Harris. All were considered under-performers last year who are getting a fresh start this year. If all these guys flourish the FO need to take a serious look at the coaching

They should have taken a serious look at the coaching 4 years ago
