The lack of any significant change in the coaching staff shows us where Rooney's head is at.

To even think we might be considering trading for a guy who was under 50 % passing, and if traded was replaced by a guy who was worse and paid 14 million bucks, what genius is running the FO?

He wants the same thing the Giants would not give him last year, but Pittsburgh would. To be the Guaranteed Starting QB .

Russ doesn't want to compete for the starting job.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but please just bring Russ back. I cannot stand Rodgers. And I don’t think he’s going to be any better.

Realistically no one in this free agent class was going to lead us to the promised land so I guess it doesn’t matter that much who’s behind center. I just don’t like Rodgers.

As for Anthony Richardson, just no. Please no. He’s never going to be an NFL starter. If you want someone young, you’re better off rolling the dice on a late-round QB.

Rodgers has a quicker release. With the OL still trying to gel, this will take the pressure off

For the same reason Joe Milton and Kirk Cousins are in the picture- some writer with a column to fill thought it sounded like a good idea. Or at least an idea.

What's really impressive is watching them spend all of their time and energy on this while quality free agents are signing all over the league. It's like they didn't give this any thought until Sunday. It's quite something to watch.

    Just floating it out there.

The bigger Point of Emphasis here should be as to why Tomlin and the Coaching Staff have been unable to develop QBs. I get that acquiring one is difficult enough on its own. However, other trams have developed QBs who are essentially Tier 2 with either great to superb success.

You know AQL, about 15 mins ago I asked the same thing...about nearly every freaking position. Are the young D line guys just kinda OK, are the CB's over the years just that bad, have the O line guys been lousy here to secure big bags from other teams? It's time to take the SB blinders off and see this is not a top tier organization.

The 90 million dollar reports are said to be wildly inaccurate.

If it does turn out to be Rodgers, a team friendly deal will make that a little less painful.

Well, out of the 130 draftpicks he's made in 18 years, he's only drafted 6 QB's. Only one 1st rd pick. One 3rd. Three 5th's, and a 7th.

    Dennis Dixon- 5th
    Landry Jones - 5th
    Joshua Dobbs - 5th
    Mason Rudolph - 3rd
    Chris Oladokun - 7th
    Kenny Pickett - 1st

Not much of a surprise that they haven't developed any. They really haven't shown any effort to do so. Then they finally invest a high pick into a guy who should've been their fourth 5th rd pick.

I could live with Rodgers on a very team-friendly deal. But it needs to be soon, before other good FAs are all gone. This sucks.

Purdy, Darnold, Tua, Baker, Geno and possibly Kyler Murray (depending on what one would classify as a Tier One) to name a few.
