Totally agree. I think he received some undue criticism for what he did with a sub-par line here. But if he was after that kind of money, then I don't think an RB is worth that.

His cap hit makes him a top 10 RB.... Harris is not a top 10 RB.

This sort of telegraphs a draft pick on a RB. Goods news is that there are some homerun hitters in this draft.

I hate Harris leaving but he's going to a great situation, Harbaugh is going to build a solid team.
I am admiring the moves they've made, and it looks like they are addressing the things that got them blown out of the playoffs.

I would mind signing Bosa if he took a rotational role and a wage that matched... but I'm not breaking the bank.
I just want a guy that get after the QB on certain downs and play either side.

Whats a feature back workload? If you are talking a bellcow then no but I certainly expect him to be the one leading the RB committee. He’s basically the same height has Jahmyr Gibbs with 15lbs on him and he had 250 carries. I expect Warren to be in that same ballpark.

Can’t see any reason for putting a 2nd rd tender on him if their plan is to keep him in the same roll.

Harris could only find a one year contract

Kind of shows you what the Steelers and 30 other teams thought of him

As compared to about a half dozen people on this board

I don’t remember who said it but yesterday I saw the best summarization of Harris: A #2 volume dependent RB.

I liked Najee from the start. He is a great person but he was very limited in this dysfunctional offensive situation. Wish him the best.

He just wasn't dynamic enough and his market demonstarted what we all saw over the past 4 years. A 1st RB needs to be a Saqoun Barkley style game wrecker, Derrick Henry, or one from the past an offensive cente piece like Ladainian Tomlinson.

I bet Harris will rush for a lot more yards than the Steelers leading rusher next season .

You're tired of this but want to sign a washed-up Nick Chubb .

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised. His line and quarterback are both better than anything he ever had in Pittsburgh. I hope I'm wrong, but I think the Steelers are going to regret not picking up that option.

They fixed their problem at receiver, but they are likely going to end up overpaying a poor solution at quarterback for this season. They still need help at cornerback, too, especially with the Slay deal not done. They don't have a second-round pick. Having running back settled for a reasonable cost would have been the smart play, but Khan fell victim to his ongoing habit of chasing the great option so long that he misses out on the good. Roster construction takes a bit of both.

He is very valuable in that role. Maybe they increase the carries a little, but I doubt you're going to see him take on a load like what Harris has shouldered the last four years. If they do go after Dobbins, that could be a disaster. Dobbins can't stay healthy and Warren isn't nearly as durable as Harris.

Just his effort alone on a crappy Offense should have kept his job.
Oline never got fixed for him.

Look at what the Bears just did, 3 new Olineman.

Yes because if Chubb can regain the level he had before his injury he is light years better than Harris. It’s not a hard concept to understand.

Ok I’ll take that bet for a cold beer but if you win you have to come to Hooterville to get it

If Gibbs frame can handle 250 carries so can Warren. You’re fooling yourself if you think they tendered Warren for 5.4 million dollars to keep him as a BU.

It is tough to imagine him returning to that level given the severity of the injury and his age. I know 29 seems young, but it isn't for a running back.

Like I said before, I wouldn’t sign him to a big contract. Only if you can get him on a prove it deal. The risk/reward would be well worth it.

Clearly the chargers know something we don’t. You have to remember there is always a reason teams let players hit free agency. Sometimes it’s purely money and other times it’s because a team knows a player is done. Or not worth the salary they’re asking for

Chubb dealt with injuries in college and the NFL and is almost 30 years old, he's not going to be elite again .
