Yeah, when my brother told me about this trade a little bit ago, my reaction was holy f..... That is expensive. My second thought was that if we're going to spend that kind of money on a wide receiver, we have to have a quarterback and running game. We can't waste that kind of money on a receiver and not do a dramatic upgrade on our offense. Winning by a field goal with 18 points is not where you go when you spend that kind of money on a wide receiver......imo

If we trade George, this makes sense to me. If not, I don't get it.

Are all our WR's just gonna run go routes the whole game? Is our offensive philosophy just 'Go deep and I'll chuck it up to you'? Not to mention they're both head cases.

And you guys talking about Darnold are dreaming. Over half our cap room is GONE. Darnold isn't gonna take $30 million.

I’m surprised he would wanna come here since we have no QB and run an antiquated offense that can’t score points

I feel the opposite. Trading GP would make no sense as you are back in the same boat only you are minus a 2nd rd pick and more money. They have a lethal duo at WR now, why would they break that up.

Bengals fans are having a tough couple of days. First Garett gets $40 million a year, which means Hendrickson is going to want at least that. And with DK getting $30, you know both Tee and JaMaar are going to want more than that.

Carr was injured last year but looked solid the year before. I can't take watching Fields or RW again .Saints can still trade him with Penix in fold unless he has some no trade clause. They can always make the money work. Trade Watt to Skins.

I can understand questioning the contract, but a second-round pick for a stud receiver is not a bad trade.

I thought they gave his agent permission to speak with other teams, which would mean Metcalf agreed to the contact before the trade was finalized. That suggests he is just fine with it.

Both receivers are capable of doing more than running go routes, though they are both excellent deep threats.

This could be a great move for the Steelers, but that depends who ends up being the quarterback. That is another way getting Metcalf helps. It makes the Steelers a more attractive destination for the available free agent quarterbacks.

Maybe this is a sign they are close to bringing back Wilson, but I imagine it gives them a better shot at Darnold or Fields, too.

For a late second round pick? I'll take that! But I am interested in the contract break down.

And i know pickens will be happy. He now will be open more.

They paid far too much in money and draft capital unless they plan to retool their offense and make passing a much bigger part of the game. You can't have a 30 million a year receiver with a team that is predominantly run oriented and likes to spend all of its money on defense. It's just a waste of a lot of money without making some big changes.......imo

It won’t take much to make passing a bigger part of the game

    Just saying
