    And the original Frankenstein 1931

Plus Buster Keaton “The General” 1926
It’s silent and kind of funny so every once in a long while I pull it out and show it at night by the bonfire at picnics

I enjoyed Nosferatu, but my wife did not. Nosferatu creeped her out pretty badly, which is kind of the point.

I remember. Didn't you use your first social security check to buy it back then? :smiley1:

Long ago I had a job where I traveled a lot and really couldn’t do any work after about 4:30 pm so rather than going to a bar or dinner that early I’d go see a movie, there was a 7 year period where I pretty much saw 80% of the movies that came out. Because I was not going at prime time there were many occasions they had to show the movie just for me. I would pick the seat dead center in the middle of the theatre.

My Lady and I were really looking forward to this version of Nosferatu but both agreed that it was more melodramatic than scary. Nothing compares to the original. The 2000 version of Shadow of the Vampire with Willem Defoe as Max Schreck was creepy and the Last Voyage of the Dementer had a real creepy Dracula/Nosferatu.

    Babylon

TBH never heard of it until about a month ago. Saw that it was over 3 hours. Could never watch it at once so after 3 days I finished. Pretty interesting for me. 1920-30's Hollywood movie scene. When the studios were changing to talking films. Brad Pitt was great and my next wife Margot Robbie showed me what I have to look forward to;) The decadence was wonderful!!

I do not follow todays movies. The Oscars are useless to me since I don't know any of the films. I see a movie called Anora won Best movie. Has anyone seen it?? A sex worker marries an Oligarch.

There's another type they like to go after (I'd expand it to characters with disabilities. But still funny)

Not to mention the Hermaphrodite Pope movie. Must be running out of script material. I preferred Bingo Hell.

Wasn't that the Jerry Jones biopic? :hmm:

(Great parody of The Crying game in one of the Naked Gun movies).
