No worries, it ended yesterday with perhaps their last day above .500 for the rest of Spring and regular season. Now it's just a matter to see if Livvy Dunne can be seen more at games than Taylor Swift in 2025.

 

This should warm the cockles of your heart. Not sure what a small bi valve mollusk has to do with your heart but there ya go!

My Phillie fan friend goes to spring training and somehow ends up at Bucs/Blue Jays game. Send me a pitcher of him with our ridiculous mascot. That silly Parrot.

 

I see they're trying Cruz in CF. Wonder how that's going to work out

 

Started that last September after 10 errors at SS in 7 games (or something to that effect). They're all in for him at CF. They better reinforce the safety screen though for the Press Box and announcers booth when he launches the ball to home plate with a runner tagging from 3rd.

 

So it's Livvers vs Swifties. Cool.

 

And those battling Bucs get within percentage points of first place in the all important Grapefruit league. Today they play my mortal enemy, Philly.

 

Spring training gets a decent crowd that seem to really enjoy themselves. Saw so many Skenes jersey's today. A lot of young kids whom I assume skipped school.

The boys beat the Phillies to stay in the hunt for some grapefruit juice.

MLB Network does a 30 teams in 15 days thing. Today at 4:00 PM it be the Bucs.

 

Those battling Bucs have took over first place winning 3 straight in the Grapefruit League. I figure this could be the highlight of our season

 

75-87, if everyone stays healthy and plays to their potential.
Still a revolving cast of has beens and never weres at first base. It is very frustrating to me. You could get two AAAA players with large platoon differentials and plug them in at first, and you would probably do better than the Pirates have done. The answer to the problem is there and is affordable but they just won’t do it. Quad A guys are not valued by the teams that have them and are available for very little. If one does not work out you go get another. I understand that the Pirates dumpster dive, but at least they could do it intelligently.

 

When it comes to baseball I've always been a Phillies phan. But I got this as part of my daily Athletic feed and couldn't help thinking of @steel machine and the fondness he's expressed for Nutting over the years.
