Look forward to it. The Brits seem to move slow when it comes to TV. Took them 9 years for 6 six episode seasons.

The wife and I started watching "Paradise" on Hulu.

I'm not sure exactly what I expected the show to be, but it has so far exceeded my expectations. It's kind of like Lioness meets Lost meets 24 meets Fallout with a dash of The Good Place (sans comedy). I really don't want to say any more than that because there's so many twists just in the first 4 episodes, I don't want to spoil anything. Every time you think you know where it's going, it doesn't. Every time you think you have a character pinned down, you don't. Sure, I predicted a few of the twists, but only because I anticipated a twist. It's a lot of fun/intriguing and well acted.

I'm sure it'll eventually air on network TV, but it'll lose punch when it does. They'll have to cut dialog and neuter some of what makes it good for a "mass market."

I've tried a few times to get into it, but always stop after a couple of episodes. I think I'm presently somewhere in the second season.

Not sure what it is about it. Seems a bit like Sons of Anarchy in a different country and time period, but more like the cheesier mid-seasons when Jax went into God-mode and was three steps ahead of everybody else.

We just started watching The Tourist about a week or so ago. It's (currently) only 2 seasons, and has been pretty enjoyable to watch. It's a little far fetched, especially season 2, but a decent show.

Just finished American Primeval on Netflix. It's only a 6 part mini-series. It's B R U T A L! A darker, more violent, nastier version of Yellowstone's prequel, 1883. And yet, my wife LOVED it (she's usually not into darker stories).
My only quibble is that every time I saw Kim Coates as Brigham Young, I couldn't unsee Tig from Sons of Anarchy. :roflmao:

Lot's of stuff coming back in the next couple weeks we like: Yellowjackets. Season 2 wasn't nearly as good as season 1, but we hope the next (last?) season will be better.

Reacher season 3 looks to be awesome.

The final stretch of episodes for Cobra Kai. Here's hoping they stick the landing.

And later this year: The Last of Us, Stranger Things (the kids will be in an old folks home by now), and Righteous Gemstones.

I had some trouble with it too. I had to learn about the time period and the IRA. Once I did that I could follow it better.

Congrats SNL for 50 years! Taped the special. Still have to watch. I guess I lost interest after 25-30 years. I know none of the comedians on the show now. I don't know many young people that watch it today. From 75 to 85 it was must watch TV for me.

I watched it from the early 80s up until the mid 90s, then I completely lost interest. It just seemed to be come less funny and more juvenile, not that it didn't have it's juvenile moments before, but it just seemed to get more dumb and less funny. No idea who's even on SNL anymore.

It's a generational thing, I think. We all have our favorite eras.

But of the current class, the only thing any good to me is the Weekend Update, especially when Colin Jost and Michael Che make each other read jokes they wrote for the other one unseen before air time. YouTube them (Weekend Update joke swap). They get pretty rowdy.

Reacher Season 3 is fun as always.

1923 season 2 just began and is off to a solid start.

And slightly old news: The last season of Cobra Kai just finished - in a pretty satisfying way. It's a slight shame their budget was lower than it should have been. They could have used a beefed up production for the last 5 episodes (it almost seemed like they were back to season 1 level of production money). But story wise, I can't complain at all. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. That show has no right being as good as it is. For what was an obvious nostalgia grab, they really elevated the whole saga.

I've read all of the Reacher novels, many twice. Got a kick out of the FBI gal's reaction when Reacher was walking towards her in his skivvies after his midnight ocean swim. I like the way they're doing this season sequentially. Do you know when the other episodes will be available? 1923 is good as well.
