I did trade down five times, but the value was there, along with multiple players I wanted, and some were small steps. Only ones I lost were TJ Sanders in the mid 2nd, and the Stanford WR at end of 2nd.

I know, I know, this isn't realistic, BUT with the amount of holes we have, we just don't have enough picks!
Even WITH this draft we would still spend big on starters at CB, WR, and probably even DE, and better backups at OG and T. This also assumes we re-sign Fields for 2-3 yrs as a bridge, extend TJ, Roberts and Warren.

Howard in the 4th to me is worth the investment/risk for QB2-3. Maybe he can be much more learning the NFL, with NFL coaching! His drafting in no way would stop me from taking a top QB in 26 if these picks worked out.

I believe these moves and players would make for a great team. I looked for players that could start this year if needed, were FOOTBALL players, with potential big upside. NO DIVAS!!

It is too long of a list to post trade conditions and players that were available at each picks. I'm looking for what you think of these players, the position drafted(value, realistic) and if they would fill holes properly for our team.

Hammer away! Please post some of yours. I'm trying to get a real feel for this years draft players, and who our picks could be.

    Allen.

7 picks in the top 115 picks would be really nice.

This would be ridiculous. Added two good rb's to fill out the room. Neal was too good a deal there. A top DT, and good developmental guy. Two QB's to develop. Bye Skylar. Solid CB, and really exciting WR. Of course it's ridiculous. PFN_Draft_result_1739840859122.png

Here is one just for s#itt and giggles!! Just missed out on Howard in mid 4th, thought about Dart in 2nd, just couldn't do it. Just couldn't pass up players at these picks. Didn't plan on three DT's. Tough choice between DT Alexander, RB Willie Gordan III, CB Jordan Hancock and WR Ricky White.

This did cost us A 2026 4th and two 2025 7th's, But it got us NINE top players at positions of need in the first four rounds. The meat of the draft

I like the Steelers going back to the State of Ohio to get their future QB in the 3rd round Will Howard.

I think Justin would be OK with the Steelers spending a 3rd round pick on a QB

Still think he'd be the best one.

Milroe could be the best RB. At least potentially. Great size, 6'1/225, he's rocked up, and explosive as any of them. His agility is off the charts. I don't know how well he can catch with baby hands, and I'm sure he'd have to learn how to block. But, he would/should understand protection.

I do like Howard, but in the 4th. Too many holes to fill to take him in the 3rd. Even if we traded down and got an extra 2nd, or third, I'm still taking him in the 4th.

I just did this mock mock draft. Traded down twice in the first, once in third to fill more holes, and thought real hard taking Howard instead of Arroyo! this does assume Fields is resigned. A TE group of Muth, Wash, and Arro would fit A Smith's O to a T.

This would be our WHOLE draft. I got great value with the trades, and realistic players at their drafted slots that fit out team to a tee.

My Free agent signings would be people like Godwin, B-Hop, Slayton or Cooper, Ward or Reed for CB. Maybe a better back-up OG, OT, and vet DL. This would make for a really nice 2025 team.

Just imagine if the Steelers would wheel and deal and could find trade partners! I believe that there will be quite a bit of action right at our pick 21st pick to trade down this year.

This would be a great team to take into 2025 making the needed cuts and signing/extending who we need to. Heck I'd even sign Harris to a modest deal to make RB three deep. He has been a good back for us.

    Allen.

Sorry I just can't get past taking Milroe as a QB. I actually like Dart, just don't know where I would value him at for us for this year. he probably go in the early to more likey mid 2nd, and at that price, I'm waiting till 2026 Depending on Fields progression, if we sign him.

Jaxon Dart is a Day 3 pick at best.

I think these mock sims are fun... but the player evaluation is weird sometimes. Jaxson Dart has a better chance going in the first 4 picks than he does lasting to the 4th round. Thomas is a borderline first round pick at the moment, but you got him at the end of the third... It leads to some wild scenarios that would never have a shot at happening in real life.

Obviously the combine changes things a bit, but it is funny to me to see where the players fall.
