You’re making a lot of assumptions. Those don’t really work in the real world, especially in a multi billion dollars industry. Consider for just a minute that the Eagles fans, many citing general complaints and how the coach does not know football, if the eagles would have fired Sirianni like they wanted. They crashed and burned at the end of the season and they said the guy has to go. The fact is that you cannot win it all without the players to do it with. Part of Tomlin’s problem is his regular season success. People debate his non- losing season streak a lot, but it’s actually a bad thing in today’s league. The Eagles basically threw in the towel last year and picked up draft picks. They did the same thing after their first SB. Tomlin should have done the same thing Cowher did in 2004 and lose your way to a good draft position and boom, along comes Ben. Tomlin’s problems that he has over performed with non-championship talent in the regular season and that always goes bust in the playoffs. We need a rebuild and you simply cannot do that drafting in the bottom 12.

I heard or read the truest statement ever about Tomlin; it could have been one of you on this site, don’t remember, but it bears repeating.

“Tomlin doesn’t have a low ceiling as much as he had a high floor.”

Perfect perspective. It explains mediocrity as well as it explss as ins why we can’t ever win again with him unless he’s given a #1 defense and HOF QB.

This is similar to the 80’s but different too. No franchise Qb in both sutuations, although i think we have more talent now than what they had for much of the 80’s.

obviously need to change the coaching staff now as they're clearly lagging behind the better staffs in the league. In the 80’s we weren't convinced that Noll needed to go till the very end of the 80’s. I don't see the point of sticking with Tomlin (outside of contractual obligations).

It will be bad at Acuresure stadium this coming year if Steelers
continue with lackluster effort. You think Philadelphia fans are bad?

if its Fields at Qb with Tomlin of course as coach it will be bad. Not all Fields fault. Like KP, hes caught in a bad situation.

KP was in a great situation and could have been in the pole position right now if he wasn’t a coward

He wasnt a coward. He was mad, rightfully so, after losing his job due to injury then being jerked around by the team after they went after Wilson.

He wasn’t jerked around, they brought competition in

    And then the coward ran

After losing his job due to injury did you think they would give KP a fair competition with Russ? He didn't seem to think so, and i kind of agree with him.

If you live in PGH or Western Pa, it is the hottest seat I personally have ever seen
for the Steelers organization. Owner is feeling heat, head coach has terrible repore with
fan base. People are tired of this tom foolery. They are tired of their team being non competitive.
The boo birds will be out if nothing is done to see a better product on the field. MT better have
thick skin, because it is coming.

I don't think he was a coward, Pickett knew he couldn't beat out Wilson. But yeah you are right he would be #1 QB now in 25 had he stayed. Plus, he would have played the games Fields played in Hindsight. Would KP have went 4-2?

He's a crappy backup QB that the Steelers overdrafted. KP sucks.
