Saw that the Raiders hired Pete Carroll as their head coach. Isn't he 180 years old? Another reason to dislike the Raiders!

 

73 years young.

 

The Raiders may want to sign Russell Wilson, or Justin Fields for that matter. I hope the Steelers have figured it out before free agency starts.

 

Carroll was born in 1951. Harry Truman was president, "Streetcar Named Desire" was the top movie and Hank Williams "Cold, Cold Heart" was the top song. In sports an all New York World Series featured 2 promising rookies with Mickey Mantle for the Yankees and Willie Mays for the Giants. The Rams defeated the Browns in the NFL championship as Norm Van Brocklin out dueled Otto Graham.

 

While some of those names would be known by certain folks, especially those who have interest in history of/or certain sports, the vast majority have no knowledge, even with HarryTruman.

 

Chip Kelly hired as OC from Ohio State

 

Chip Kelly won't be going after Russell Wilson I wouldn't think. Maybe Dillon Gabriel or Jalen Milroe? Isn't he more of an up tempo style OC? Watch him take Will Howard in round 1.

 

as far as experience with up tempo play style I agree that Gabriel would be best fit but I don't know if he is NFL level starter or not.

 

Isn’t Brady making the decisions now?

This will be his team.

Raiders can only hope Brady has input, they are so mismanaged
Maybe the worst in NFL. There is much of this by NFL owners
But they still make millions off of TV contracts? How do some people
not produce yet make boatloads of money?

 

Are you talking about the Pirates or Raiders? Similar logos.

 

Both have terrible ownership! I am afraid Steelers are heading in same direction.

 

Once those TV contracts took over I'm convinced a lot of owners said the hell with winning.
