Frazier was going to start regardless of injury, Spencer Anderson can play every position on the OL as a backup.

You're probably right. I am sure there are a couple out there far worse (gulp). I was being a bit over-the-top.

That said, I can't name a single OL that has exceeded expectations and only a couple that met expectations (Frazier this year did).

I expect 1st an 2nd round picks to come in and start and be...solid. IF they become all-pro/pro-bowl as rookies, that is exceeding expectations.

There are a couple that left Steelers and played much better, but that wasn't all on Meyers (prior OL coach involved too).

I just am not seeing ANY cohesion. I don't see any OL being dominant (yeah, talent is lacking as is payroll).

I have expectations that Fautanu will be above average next year solely based on 1st round grade and top notch college production. He probably doesn't need any coaching to be NFL average. If Meyers is remotely solid OL coach, Fautanu will be in all-pro mix in 2025.

We'll see, since Meyers appears to have another year left, feels like we're stuck with him. It also feels like yet another coach that was lifted off the cast-off pile for a cheap(er) signing. Maybe that is happening because we're overpaying a mediocre HC at top 5 HC money.

I have been watching all those interviews with Rooney this week, and I can't help but wonder if someone has asked Rooney if he has been in contract negotiation with Russell Wilson.

I still think it is all Smoke and no Fire coming out of Russell's Camp, and Russell and his people are continuing to talk about his team Exit Interview and nothing more.

Why does everyone seem to forget that Nate Herbig was the starting center when camp opened and then was injured.

It was the same story with Kendrick Green and J. C. Hassenauer.

Zach Frazier Has Honest Admission About His 2024 Season
When Nate Herbig’s season-ending injury during training camp created a void, Frazier seized his chance, stepping into the starting role from Week 1.

What a farce, in my over 40 years of working if I didn't produce there were ramifications.
No accountability from coaches, players etc. How do these people get away with this?

Yeah, Herbig was going to be the starter early on but he wasn't keeping that job the whole season.

    Agreed.

I am not a fan of Spencer Anderson, so I hope Nate comes back on the cheap, to fill the backup Center/Guard roll this year. Also, I don't know if Dylan Cook is going to get another shot at being the swing tackle this year.

Hopefully this is the last of these interviews. Each one was frustrating. Art has become delusional.

Meyer is to the o-line to what Canada was to the offense.

Contempt and tone deaf would be the better terms. Archaic even.

“You know, we’ll be talking to Justin and his representative, as well as Russell and his representative, here soon,” Rooney said.

Thanks. So. it is a complete lie about Russell Wilson being in contract negotiations with the Steelers then. That is what I thought, but I wanted to hear it straight from the owner's mouth, before I called Russell and his team liars for stretching the truth.

I believe this comment is about the teams exit interview with it's players.
“We’ve had conversations with both of them, yeah. In terms of the players, they both have said they’d like to come back, so that’s a good start.”

I haven’t seen anywhere that Wilson said they were in contract talks only that they had their end of season meetings

The word contract was only added by a clickbait article or two

    This was cleared up here

What the hell are you people doing in PA. I read that Colorado passed a law in 2024 making it harder for websites to buy and sell my info, but I can't even look at this website without going through a VPN now. Crazy.

Are there no Privacy laws in PA.

It is funny, I have been blocked from Websites, because I use an Ad-Blocker, but I have never been banned from a web site, because I am from Colorado. :)

We will stay the course of the current rebuild plan.
We will allow time to be the measure of our success of this rebuild plan.
There will be no burning it down and starting over from nothing.

    Sounds solid to me.
