Or defenses figured Wilson out and he struggled.

I think this is from his first 3 starts that’s the best I could find

It looks fairly well distributed left to right

This is the article that I read for this thread.

On the Kaboly and Mack Show, longtime Steelers reporter Mark Kaboly sat down with his co-host, Chris Mack, to recap what was said in Rooney's recent meeting. Mack said that he tried to read between the lines of Rooney's comments about how there won't be "wholesale change." He believes Rooney might ask Head Coach Mike Tomlin to back off and let his assistant coaches do their job. The topic of his interfering comes up often. Kaboly said he feels it will be nearly impossible to police. He added what he found most interesting was Rooney's comment about getting players' opinions.

Are you implying players love tomlin cause his coaches are not allowed to discipline players or question mikes calls , that is believable.

It looks like a horseshoe. The middle of the field does stretch vertically beyond 15 yards. I don’t expect to see a bunch of 40 yard attempts between the hashes, but there is almost nothing between the numbers beyond 10 yards.

i do think sight lines have a little to do with it. middle has more pass rush and o-linemen in his face, the outside has a player looping around the tackles, and russell is a midget that can't see over these guys down the middle. he pretty much knows where the check downs will be.:cool:

    Sure

But that is more of a function of Russ throwing the ball to where the receiver is and not him not wanting to throw to the middle of the field

I was talking about those next gen stats charts Wilson used the MOF more than recent years in this offense.

Exactly. Wilson isn’t going to throw over the middle of the field when 85% of the passes are to WR’s running sideline routes. Even the check down routes were mostly towards the outside of the field. The only time they used the middle of the field was running up the gut and getting stuffed eventually. The last five games were more vanilla than a preseason game. No surprises, no trick plays, no moving players around. It was a complete we are going to do what “we are going to do” package and defensive coordinators couldn’t wait to face us. Never scored more than 17 points and yet no one got fired. :beathorse:
