The Steelers might need to double dip at the DL position.

Rick Spielman was saying that Nolan looks great but he's more of a twitchy 3 tech, one gap penetrator. Compared him to Calijah Kancey. Doesn't think he'll fit into a two gap defense, trying to hold up while taking on double teams.

He said about Dart, that he thought he had the quickest, smoothest release, and his arm talent was more than he expected after seeing him in person. Thought he could put some zip on the ball and just looked like the most natural quarterback down there. He said people were talking about his intangibles, his toughness and leadership.

    Why not triple dip?!

This IDL class is legendary in terms of depth. Talent though not so much.

Walter Nolen is not the guy. He's lazy and needs to hit the weight pile.

    Perhaps not.

However, Kenneth Grant from Michigan and Tyliek Williams from Ohio State would be. Omar Norman Lott is another one who could bolster the interior. Jordan Phillips from Maryland or CJ West from Indiana would also be great Day 3 options. However, I don't expect Jordan Phillips to last into day three myself.

Dillon Gabriel had the scouts buzzing today by throwing the football at a speed of 75 mph. The previous record was 62 held by Josh Allen and Joe Milton. The left handed Dillon shattered the record today.

I love Norman Lott, dude moves like a dancer. Big butt and silky hips, what's not to like?

And West is a tazmanian devil.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if the team does indeed opt for another IDL in the later rounds. Question is which round?! I suspect Day Three but I cannot see any possible way in which the team opts to skip out on someone like Norman Lott.

To say he is one of the drafts biggest sleepers is severely underselling that statement. In the right system, with the right coaching?! You are looking at a Pro Bowl player.

According to the Draft Network the biggest splash at today's practice was Mike Green the Edge from Marshall. He was either too quick or too strong to be blocked. Quincy Riley the CB from Louisville was really impressive and Kyle Williams the WR from Washington State wowed the scouts with his speed and route running.

Mike Green is what happens when talent and effort both work in unison. If anything, looking at him, it reminds me fondly of what I saw when I scouted Alex Highsmith. That said, Green is more explosive than Alex was. As far as Kyle Williams from Washington State goes, in the even that neither Matthew Golden, Isaiah Bond nor Eli Ayomanor are available in Round 2, Kyle Williams would definitely warrant a look.

Not going to win with size but with route running, quick twitch and speed like his?! Will not matter much. For that matter, he is a much better Receiver in terms of beating press than others give him credit for.

That kind of looks like Semaulo getting run over this season.

What about Deone Walker of Kentucky as a day two pick?

With Art ll comments about needing to stop the run I hope they draft two DL, get rid of the dead weight like Larry O, Loudermilk, Lowry.

Man..... right now, even with his ridiculous measurements... I am not nearly as high on him as most are.

Leverage will always be his greatest challenge. I get that. However, the leverage wasn't my biggest critique of him. For a man of his size and length, one would expect him to be nigh unblockable in pass rushing situations. I can forgive the lack of nuance of a pass rushing arsenal but his lack of play strength is appalling; if not concerning. Deone has stretches of greatness when it all works... and it is something to behold. However, his lows are extremely low. This isn't accounting for his lack of conditioning either for he looked less conditioned this season than his Junior Campaign a year ago.

I have a more favorable grade on him now than I did at the midway point, a Top 75 grade compared to the Top 100 grade I gave him, but I am not too sure if such rare traits that Walker showcases is worth taking on. Keep in mind, this is coming from someone who definitely enjoys uber athletic, high level traits based Lineman on either side.

    :drinks:

At worst, Kenneth Grant is a supercharged Dalvin Tomlinson. At best?! You are looking at Dontari Poe.

Much like Poe, Grant was an athletic, space eating force during his time at Michigan. My upcoming Top Five Positional Draft Rankings is going to shock a lot of people... and I mean.. a lot... of people regarding IDLs.
