Where was TJ and Cam when the Ravens ran for 299 yards in the playoff loss?

Aaron Rodgers, Gardner Minshew, Andy Dalton etc and probably a pretty expensive Sam Darnold. They might as well just play Fields.

Are you aware there aren't many better options in free agency?

Then TJ should've sat down Herbig probably been more effective.

There really isn't any realistic options for the Steelers this year that lead to a SB, except maybe Darnold. He might give you, at least, a recordable percentage chance. Yet, I absolutely don't want him, and I don't believe that Russ or Fields, wins us a SB this year, or any year.

I'm not interested in a single playoff win consolation prize anymore. Even though we haven't even managed one of those in nearly a decade.

The more I think about it, they should just draft McCord, Dart, or Howard, and bring back Fields to have somebody to help the transition. Hell, draft two of them. Why not? If one of the draft picks shows promise, put him in there. There's ZERO expectations this year anyway. Zero.

That doesn't mean you can't draft yet another guy next year, you gotta plant a lot of seeds. History would tell you that it's a low percentage chance that either of them end up being 'the guy' anyway. But, you have to get on with finding your guy. FIND YOUR GUY. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS. Until you do, you're wasting everyone's time, yours and ours.

Steelers have traditionally had success drafting their Qb in the top half of the first round. We got to do that again; trade up if need be but i have a feeling we’ll get a high pick in 26.

i always thought the steelers had their next franchise Qb in picket. But that didnt work out. I still think the steelers screwed up by pairing him with Canada and a porous O line. Then we inexplicably gave up on him before we really knew what we had. I blame Tomlin and staff for that fiasco. Hopefully we pair the next Qb with a good coordinator, a solid line (i think we have one) and give the Qb at least a couple seasons of play before we give up on him.

Kiper was on ESPN on Thursday and mentioned Jaxson Dart as the one QB who has shot up the draft board and is now the #3 QB overall. Milroe has fallen in the draft and could be there in round 3 or even 4. Milroe is going to wow scouts at the combine with his arm strength and could run a sub 4.4 forty but he could just be a smaller version of Anthony Richardson.

Not an awe inspiring bunch. Maybe we'll get Mason back;) Sam Darnold cost himself a lot of money. Let's go with Zappe, he is youngest I believe and we can mold him into a franchise QB. A man can dream.

Actually, looking at the available QB's, Fields looks as good as most the others.

There will be other FA QB’s potentially showing up based on the draft

Old guys that aren’t needed if we are just looking for a stopgap

I have been saying that for a while about Dart I think he will be QB #3 in this draft. The Steelers might need to consider drafting him in the first round.

It is really a shame that 2 guys that have been model citizens and great players for one organization are possibly
never going to play in a superbowl. Thanks MT

my thought's on this seem out there but i'd draft two this year. dart and will howard. may the best man win. fields for a max two year contract. i don't need my qb teaching the young ones. both howard and dart can play. get them here and not chase after this nonexistent guy in 2026. start the replacement now with two solid choices.

If you read SD article you would see that teams do not draft 2nd round QBs for the most part. They either bump them to Rd1 if they are close, or down to Rd3. It's the option incentive that forces them into this decision.

OT, Dulac now reporting that Wilson may hang around the Steelers. LOL, Dulac can't keep his prognostications straight.

1 minute Russ is signing with Steelers ---1 minute Fields is signing with Steelers---Guess we just need to be patient and see what happens .

Question who do you think will work with a young qb here in Pittsburgh? Not saying we don’t need on but you trust Tomlin to even bring in a qb coach that can work with a young guy or for that matter an OC that builds a system based on the qb and not just what you want to run because of your scheme? I don’t so it probably doesn’t matter who they draft honestly as I don’t have any confidence they will be successful with these coaches.

this is our QB coach. his first year here with a bad o-line and and a new OC. then juggling QB's. i wouldn't be to hasty to judge him on this one season. fields did do a little better here than in chicago. russell started good and ran into a brutal finish. more than just the QB was at fault in those final games.

I'd sign Fields and give him as many weapons as possible.

Just say no to Wilson. Too old and short and will want to break the bank.

oh I agree with you 100%. Problem is Tomlin not the qb coach as he has anyone playing qb scared to throw one interception and you can’t win that way. Balls will get tipped and some bad throws are made at times especially with young qbs. They have to have some leeway to make mistakes to grow and I don’t think he views it that way. Whoever the qb is he can’t play scared.
