And Watt recorded zero stats in the last two games.

Funny... I didn't think anyone was playing in a football game at the Pro Bowl this year. :)

Seriously, I remember when it was an actual game from Hawaii.

ACTUALLY, I guess I am right. There is no longer an NFL Pro Bowl; the NFL changed it to "The Pro Bowl Games" in 2022

Yeah the NFL has made a mess of things. At
Moving it from a tropical paradise to a nice and sunny Florida for at least the foreseeable future (3 yrs at least) is a game changer I’d assume for a lot of players. Not to mention playing flag football and what essentially amounts to circus games.

The circus games are fine, provided they’re in Hawaii and they actually played a standard contact game.

Edit : apologies for the double post. An ad popped up and I lost my page. Wouldn’t let me delete the original post.

You are both right. The piss poor offense is the main reason we can’t compete come playoff time but TJ has done next to nothing in the playoffs as well.

The NFL is just trying to warm fans up to what NFL football will be in 10-15 years. Get ready for star defensive players to be guys with the best flag grabbing hand/eye coordination. There will be no role for players > 200 lbs.

I think one could make the argument that we’re already there. Just look at the frustrations of defensive players around the league when tackling the likes of Patrick Mahomes. It’s essentially kid gloves or what amounts to flag football.

When I was growing up watching football it was “here comes the pain” … Nowadays, it’s “here comes the cloth”

I've seen the future of football in 2062 watching the Jetsons.

Please, did you watch the game today? They were tagging both QBs with no flags.

Sure today was an anomaly of sorts. Big championship games typically equate to less flags. I sure don’t want to debate someone that thinks QBs don’t get treated with kid gloves in this modern NFL.

To be fair, it’s an exaggeration to call it flag football because these guys still hit hard. Doesn’t mean that year after year I’m not seeing the same redundantly bogus roughing flags on a steady rinse and repeat cycle.

70s-80s were more enjoyable for folks like me. And I’m not saying they call the majority of these games unfairly either. Referees only playing by these evolved rules. It’s an offensive oriented league nowadays. Offense adds TV ratings, puts more folks in the stands. Nothing will change my mind on this matter so I respectfully agree to disagree.

I hope he was injured the last two months. Otherwise the downturn in production is kind of hard to explain. He was mostly invisible during December games.

I just watched the 1962 NFL championship game between the Packers and Giants on YouTube. Sam Huff would have been banned from the league by halftime in today's NFL.

No player should ever play in the Pro Bowl....like ever. The Pro Bowl shouldn't even be a thing.

The crazy part was they were still chipping him with 3 guys on most snaps. You'd figure with even competent CB/LB play behind him with that going on that they would be a better defense.
