TJ won’t play in the Pro Bowl due to an injury which makes one wonder if he was playing through “significant” (ankle and thumb) injuries during our 5 game losing stretch ? I know he was banged up but maybe it was worse than we all realized.

I read that his wife is expecting so naturally he wants to stay home.

I wouldn’t doubt that he was playing injured though.

Yeah I read that as well. However a recent article stressed he needs to rehab his ankle and thumb. You factor in his injuries along with an expectating wife…

Kyle Van Noy a DE from the Ravens will be taking his place. I just don’t think Watt was even close to 100% during that brutal losing stretch.

who wants to go to florida where it snows. if maybe at a nice warm place like Hawaii, that would be something. wonder if the nfl has ever thought of that?

also seems to make more sense to maybe put it after the super bowl as a fun little thing to do after the season ends?

He absolutely didn't look quite right in those games.... I'm sure he wanted to help the team, but if he wasn't able to go full speed, then he should've sat down.... after all, we did have Herbig in the fold as well... Watt may have actually hurt the team more than he helped.... that's where Tomlin has to step in and do what's best for the team

Then he shouldn’t have played if he was that ineffective

He was definitely injured while playing the last Ravens game

He came of the field grimacing and went back on with one arm wrapped like a mummy

You realize who we are talking about right? I mean the same guy who thought an immobile Ben gave them the best shot against a 49ers defense that were licking their chops to play against a QB who was so hurt he had to take all snaps in shotgun and was unable to move in the pocket. Again it would have needed to be a spiritual awakening for Tomlin to perform such an action.

Pro bowl…..LOL. What a joke. The players have a tug of war contest and then go play flag football. I suppose a spelling bee was out of the question since none of them actually had to attend college.

Who else they got? The team is 1-11 when he doesn’t play.

Not surprising. TJ stopped playing flag football in grade school

In the last month i noticed TJ was running straight into the blocker, and as a results wasn’t getting past him. Whereas before he would side step or swing wide around the blocker and use his arms to fend off the blockers reach. So maybe he was playing hurt or limited.

    Raises the question.

It's only begging the question if the premise assumes the truth of the conclusion.

I have odd pet peeves, apologies.

That’s turned into a festival for young kids to go to. Older players with kids and spouses don’t go to the big party.

It has changed from a big party to a pain in the butt

Before “hey honey do you want to go to Hawaii “

Now “hey honey do you want to go to Orlando again”

The first time you go it’s an honor

After that it becomes Groundhog Day

And now it’s Groundhog Day in Orlando not Hawaii

That’s why in an earlier post, I referred to it as the “Bro Bowl”. Moving it from Hawaii to Orlando only adds insult to injury.

And 0-5 in the playoffs when he does play.
That’s fine, but I get tired of the phantom injury excuses at the end of each year.

Frustrating. There are players that decline over time but it seems like TJ fell off a cliff lately. I’m not even sure why he was nominated for DPOY except for it just being a popularity contest. And then we have Minkah making the pro bowl. For what? The guy was mostly a no show this season.

Blaming losses on Watt is a mind-numbingly stupid take, bro. In the 5 losses to close our this season, the steelers averaged 14 points/game. Steelers offense continues to blow dongs. Until Rooney and the FO get serious about getting a real QB and OC, the sh!tshow will continue.
