There are a lot of assumptions being made here but if we assume Wilson theoretically is the starter going into camp...is there a WR who is a FA or even better a college prospect with the makeup of an AJ Brown?

Just watching how AJ boxes out DBs for slants and then how he can out muscle a contested fly route would be such an asset for RW. Maybe he is a generational WR but thought I would ask if there is someone who the physical attributes and game like an AJ Brown. Thoughts?

Thanks for sharing SR6. I am easily seduced by that promo vid. Ha.

Will be curious if they go with best player available vs what the talking heads will project.

Tee Higgins reminds me of the same build. Andre Johnson. Who was the last WR Steelers had that fit this mold? I forget but wasnt there a WR from Auburn build like this? Ben used to throw the deep ball to him a lot but it seemed like he faded.

No , it was Sammie Coates, I liked Coates but he never seemed to get it.

Tre Harris from Ole Miss makes combat catches look routine every time he goes against opposing Corners. Never mind that, he is extremely reliable not just as a combat catcher but also a possession receiver. Some of the best hands in the class as well. His biggest asset though may be his ability to beat press coverage despite his limited athletic ceiling. That leads to some of his shortcomings.

Biggest problem is that his athleticism leaves a lot to be desired. Definitley not someone who is going to be a deep threat any time soon nor is he going to out maneuver many CBs as a whole. If he is going to win in the NFL, it will come down to his IQ of defensive coverages, his natural ability to make contested catches look effortless and the Offensive System he is placed in.

His best Offensive systematic fit would be a vertical passing attack. Offenses that use Play Action could also work but his consistency in blocking will need a tune up.

Coates suffered a hand injury and things went downhill from there.

I remember our last AFC championship game against the Patriots on our first series Ben threw a 50 yard bomb down the sidelines that hit Coates right in the hands and he dropped it. We punted and of course Brady took them right down field for a TD.
