They will never get a real NT. We play nickel and dime way to much to waste a roster spot on a legit NT. Toimlin likes his DT’s smaller and quick. Heyward is an exception to that. Tomlin has been infatuated with Sapp ever since he coached him so therefore that is what he looks for. Problem is having smaller gap penetrating DT’s leaves are smallish ILB’s out to dry having to fight off blocks while also being fast enough to cover the pass over the middle of the field. He is wasting real ILB talent in this defense with his scheme.

I hate his defensive philopshy of bend don’t break and creat turnovers. It sucks. We won’t remake the CB room because we don’t know how to develop Cb’s under Tomlin. The WR is room we will see. I don’t know who was responsible for drafting WR’s was it Colbert?

Yea, they play nickel and dime too much because that's what offenses are doing to them....nickel and diming them to death.

1.) Plenty of IDLs in this draft. That said, which round do you take one in?! Among the best NTs, Kenneth Grant, Tyleik Williams or even Omar Norman-Lott would be excellent picks. Alfred Collins from Texas might be an intriguing option also.

2.) I'd imagine that is the plan for both Khan and Weidl. The way both handled both the 2023 and 2024 Off-Season's indicate to me that this will be top priority.

3.) Assuming the Steelers can nab Tee Higgins via sacrifice of George Pickens, this will be the new direction for the team. If not, expect the same as point two but not nearly as much commitment in comparison to WR.

I’d love to see them pursue Garrett Wilson via trade for Pickens.

I think they are in need of a rebuild. In order to do that they are going to have to trade some people for picks (Watt, Muth, Highsmith, Fitz). Roll with Fields if cheap, if not play Kyle Allen for a year to get our 2-15 record. In 2026, we have like $154 million in cap space, and should be well within the top 10 for the draft. Hopefully get our QB then unless Will Howard falls to us this year. He is 6’5” 245 and can run. The rebuild will take 2-3 years. It’s the only way to do it and you have to find your qb. We have to lose for a year to get a decent draft slot. If Watt was around that long, he’d be washed up. Trade him this year and let him go to a contender. And yes, Tomlin will probably need to go to erase the past. Send me Marcus Freeman, dude has completely changed the culture at Notre Dame and is a hell of a leader.

This is what I've been pushing. I'd throw in a 3rd.

They can't afford to give away any picks they already owe the Jets a 5th for Mike Williams.

Given the state of the wr corps, you're going to have to spend some high draft capital anyway, on an unknown. Garrett Wilson is 24 year old a proven commodity and could be a viable number one for years. If you didn't offer GP, who isn't going to be here anyway, it would take a 1st to get him. I'd rather not have to give a 3rd but I'd be willing to. He has 1 + 1 option year left on his rookie deal. Sorry if you don't think it's worth it, but I do.

With G. Wilson, R. Wilson, CAIII, a solid FA/cut or two(Godwin, Cooper, Kirk, Lockett, Adams, E. Moore), or a late round/FA wr, it might be decent corps.

Rebuilding it in one year will be really tough.

I would keep Pickens for one more year and then draft another future #1 WR.
