Been thinking on this a lot since tomlins has been h.c and we have lost our way . The only way to begin to improve is fire mike . Will not happen unless management is forced to .What will do that ?Us fans saying enough is enough and stop watching them play and stop buying tickets . Tough love needed here but do not want to do it and know we need to do it if we ever hope to get the REAL STEELERS BACK . Best wishes to yinz and may you and family have a Blessed year.

I love the franchise, that doesn't mean I love the team. There's a difference.
We used to be known for hard work, hard tackling, running the ball and stopping the run. We didn't always win, but teams didn't bully us, they didn't embarrass us, and they damn sure didn't run for 200+ yards on us.
The Steelers had certain expectations for their players. There was accountability.

All of that is gone. I dislike this team. I don't enjoy watching the games right now and I truly hate Mike Tomlin. He's the worst thing to happen to this franchise since the 70's. I hate what he represents and I hate what he has turned this team into. He's all talk and no substance. I hate that he brought in a guy like Vick. That's a stain on this franchise that will never go away. I hate that he stood on the field during play and tried to interfere. I ****ing hate him. I also hate our current ownership. There's no accountability. Not for the players and not for the coaches.

Why do I watch? It's a bad habit bordering on addiction I guess. Also, I love this franchise and want to see them return to what they used to be.

A once proud Franchise languishing in mediocrity.
Dan Rooney is probably rolling in his grave. Chuck Noll is
probably rolling in his grave. Joe Greene is probably down
in Dallas wondering how did Art 2 MT screw up such an
    iconic franchise.

I do love the Steelers. I have since I was old enough to watch football.

I don't love how things are right now and how Tomlin has brought a culture of mediocrity to the team.

I’m still as locked into this team as I have always been. The only change for me is I don’t get as upset over losses anymore.

It’s not a good product right now though. we got one major change a couple years ago when Colbert left and Khan took over, need the other half of that equation to follow suit. Khan (and Weidl) plus a new HC and we’ll start seeing real change which hopefully leads to a better product on the field.

I am old enough to remember how bad the Steelers were,,theN Dan Rooney, Chuck Noll,
Joe Greene changed the culture of losing, we need that culture change right now.
We are floundering in a mess.A team that wasn't prepared or even wanted to play,in a cold weather game.We are soft, players and coaches and Art ll.Step down Art
if you can't make the difficult decisions needed to right this sinking ship.

The man in my avatar is what made me a Steelers fan circa 2008. The subsequent years aftet that have done nothing to shake my resolve as one. That said, what is now being witnessed is nothing more than the snowballing effect of both bad drafts (2018-2022) and below average free agent classes (2018-2021).

I have trust in both Omar Khan and Andy Weidl. Arthur Smith needs another year with a QB that can not only command his Offense but also have the weapons to do so. Same goes for Zach Azzanni; insufficient data right now to assess him.

For the likes of Pat Meyer and Teryl Austin though?! Toss their assess overboard; doubly so in Austins case. He is essentially Matt Canada minus the lack of talent on the Defensive Side of the ball. Mike Tomlin?!?! He and the team both need to part ways.

If not?! AR II MUST step in and strip him of playcalling anything a la Jeffrey Lurie did with Nick Sirianni. For that matter, since Sirianni removed himself from calling plays in Week 5, look at what the Eagles have done since; one of the NFLs best teams. If not, expect more of the same in 2025; no matter what the Roster looks like.

I do love the franchise. i dont like how the game has changed. The loyalty of players to the team they are playing for has made me care less. I used to be a total ass after a steeler loss now it doesnt bother me as much. maybe its i expect the steelers to lose. This really didnt happen until seeing how Tomlin treats his players like friends instead of there coach. He accepts the outcome when he knows the players quit on him and the team. Imagine being Cam playing with this team and knowing the coach accepts it and covers it up,

If the owner doesn't GAF about winning, why should anyone else care?

Deuce has allowed Barry Switzer Jr. to waste almost two decades. I won't get invested until that moron is gone.

At this point I feel estranged. I won't put my heart in this dumpster fire until Bags Tomlin is gone. I have had enough of him and Art II.

Tell us how you really feel!!! I agree Tomlin has run his course. Also, his SB was with Cowher’s players and the lose was a mixer of Cowher and Tomlin players. I feel you on disliking the entire gig right now but watch because we’re all hardcore fans. I honestly don’t know what a good solution is because Tomlin will never be let go. As for the Vick thing I forgot he was even a Steeler.

To answer my own question , yes I love the Steelers but wonder where they have gone and why. Kinda like watching a loved one die slow and painfully . what do we do ?

Exactly. I used to actually suffer bad moods for a day or so after a loss because I always believed they could and should win. But now…? I yawn. I yawn as if I’m a Browns or Jets fan. I actually have already expected it.

A very shameful part of me wanted that loss yesterday and for the beat down to be even worse. Why? Because I truly believe that would/is/was the thing to FINALLY trigger the beginning of the end for Tomlin. Sooner or later.

This end of season collapse and playoff beat down had real meaning and value toward actual change the franchise clearly needs.

For me also there was no disappointment at all in last night's game, I had no expectation that the Steelers would win and they didn't.
