zach anderson northern michigan 6-3 280 4.63 33 reps. has run 4.58. worth the time to look at. i hope our scouts have. you may have to dig deep to find him. talking under the radar small school guy.

glenn foster Ill. 6-4 286 4.78 at Ill. pro day. 29 reps. combine snub that raised alot of eyebrows. another slipped through the cracks guy, until now. he should be reaching the boards by draft day.

woods, keisel, ziggy, mclendon, fangupo all have one year contracts.

that anderson kid could bring a whole new wrinkle to DLB. levon kirkland anyone? at least as a blitzer. worth the look though. LOL:cool:

i threw these two out there for everyone to look at. anderson is worth the time to watch. u-tube has his squat record on there. he plays DE in a 3-4. the kid is good and fast for his size. he doesn't move like he's 280, and would have to create havoc with his stregnth and speed. it's 280 of muscle. it's worth watching him.

heck, i'd be there on the phone with him as soon as the draft ended. there would have to be something you could do with him. blitz him up the middle as a LB on 3rd downs. LOL the kids got some game.:applaud::cool:

The guy is freakish strong, and in his second year when some NFL team puts about 15 lbs on him he is going to kill people. 6-8 and plays with leverage, look out. other 3-4 DE I like are Datone Jones of UCLA and 2 mid to late RD guys are Baker Steinkuhler Nebraska and Joe Kruger Utah who coming out as a JR.

Mac, it's kind of hard to rate Anderson because he looks like a man among boys playing that D III competition, and all that I could find to watch was highlight film, so all you see are the good plays. He is a certainly a physical specimen, but it's going to be tough for a team to spend a draft pick on him if there's a guy there in R7 who they had a 5th round grade on. On film he also looks kind of "straight-linish." Still, I'd love to see him get a shot in camp. Lottery tickets sometimes pay off.

I like Margus Hunt's long-term potential a lot. My only concern with him is that it may take until year 3 or 4 before he really reaches his potential, however he would clearly be a special teams monster from Day 1. He can be that new breed of 3-4 DE that is more valuable playing against the pass than the run. I can see some of the comparisons to Watt, but Watt was rare in that he had all of that physical talent and was already a polished player. Whoever drafts Hunt may need to be a bit patient.

Check out John Simon of Ohio State. He's a bit undersized but he's got a motor that just won't quit. I actually took him in the fantasy draft (Patriots) in the second round. He's Bill Belicheck's kind of player and it wouldn't surprise me a bit if the Pats nabbed him in the second. I can't see us committing a high draft pick to a (traditional) DE since we have Hood and Heyward on the roster.

Love Simon. But you're right, he's going to have to convince some that his size wont matter. The guy plays hard as hell. I'm a bit of a OSU homer though so......

I too am a big fan of Hunt. He is still raw but I like his tools. Underperformed at the Senior Bowl which was a red flag for me, but I like his tape and his combine performance. He would be an option for me in Round 2.

I think Hunt ends up going late round 1... He's a project though. He has tools, but he's a twig. He'll probably need at least a year to fill out his frame to hold up as a 3-4 end.

as i said as soon as the draft ended. i'd absolutely bring him to camp as an udfa. you can't coach speed and stregnth, it works at any level.

now foster,i'd consider late. he's the forgotten guy with spence and buchanan there at Ill.
