Jimmy Carter served. There have been many that held office. They don't all serve.

    Even I found that Odd

There were a lot less gas stations back then and Full Service was exactly that.

Not sure if you mean places that sold gas or full station stations? Not sure if it's a left coast California thing but there used to be up to 4 joints on every commercial corner that sold gas (including 7-11's and Stop and Robs) and now you have to drive miles just to find one. And it's not like they all converted to EV stations which are even harder to find.

Are you thinking of Jimmy Connor? ;)
I know POTUS' suffer from being in the wrong place at the wrong time and Jimmy definitely suffered from that. Mortgage rates pushed 20% during that period and everything else was completely out of whack economically speaking. They even started selling gas by the liter in CA to give the impression that gas prices weren't as crazy as they really were. Most people couldn't convert liters to gallons so the ruse worked for a while. He was a decent man for sure, just bad timing and policy gambling.

Not to get into politics here. His years in office were economically disastrous. I mean the man. He was a servant first.

Got it. And being a fellow Engineer, I gave him every benefit of the doubt - it was just a dark period in this Country for reasons way beyond his control.
