But they take away targets and touches from Warren, Muth, and Washington. We over play Najee all season. 1 catch does not make them good. They have had more then enough chances, play your best players.

I'll disagree with that. When you don't have a franchise QB you draft and keeping drafting QBs until you get one. Pickett didn't work out, but you have to do it.

The bigger sin imo, and I know most here disagree, was trading a first round pick for Minkah. 37 year old Ben had blown out his elbow a few days earlier and you have no clue how he'll come back. (Crappy as it turned out.) You have no heir apparent and you spend your first round pick on a safety?! Granted a pretty good safety, but still. A safety. When you don't have the QB position settled, trading that type of draft capital for a safety, any safety, is simply ridiculous. You can't win in this league anymore without a franchise QB.

Edit: Look back at the 2020 draft too. It has ended up being a good QB class. Think what we could have done with that 18th pick. Could have drafted Jordan Love. Could have packaged it and moved up to draft a Herbert maybe. Could have drafted Justin Jefferson and then gotten Jalen Hurts in the second. Not saying any of that would have happened, just saying you trade that pick and you don't have any of those options.

Pretty accurate. Broderick Jones is getting very close to being on that list. He is a drive killer at minimum at least two drives a game he kills by either a penalty or giving up a sack or tfl. Now you need to name coaches.

He had some mistakes for sure, but our defense didn’t have to allow them to march 90 yards on 7 plays after the turnover, either. This defense has been way overrated all year.

He is what he is. He would be a great third receiver the problem is we are relying on him to be receiver #2.

I agree but that isn’t realistic. At this point you need a new Oline coach. He is out of excuses.

The D was a shell of what we had earlier in the year. Kazee, Sutton, Pierre and Bishop in the secondary? Combined with an uninventive DC like Austin, any NFL QB would have had a field day.

Jones has played better lately that false start he got called for against the Ravens was BS.

My thoughts as well. We can't trust Rowan, simply because he has not shown anything. He may ball out, but right now we need a true nr 2. Thinking of the years of this team's success, naturally you are not gooing to have 2 HOFer's, we did, but also had an exceptional young guy named Jim Smith. In 95 we had a crew, in 05, 08, 10. I know it's a different era, but put together a WR room with Pickens, Rowan, Austin, bring in a proven 2 and Russ has tools to work with. Austin is more than a gadget guy, he brings a different dimension in the 3/4 role that D's have to account for.

As bad as this seems, I follow a podcast during games. The comments are hilarious, and I really wonder if 'fans' follow this team at all. Last week it was 'Put in Fields, now', when told he was injured and out, they responded, 'when did this happen?', or cut so and so sigh DJ, goes on and on. I make no claims on the finer points of the game, but damn at least know the team you root for. lol

For this reason only. He really has not shown much, simply because he has not been healthy. He has shown enough to keep around for the next camp, might become a valuable guy, a guy in camp may show more, but the cost to keep him on the roster for camp is next to nothing.

He had a bad game, but the drive that got us back early in the game was done with a bunch of scrubs. There were games when prime Ben stunk up the joint, it happens, no one in FA or the draft is going to be as good as Russ (even if he is diminished somewhat), give him legit weapons and he has shown he can cook.

I’ve often thought about starting a poll to see how many people here on this message board on a week to week basis actually watched the game.
I’d be willing to bet it’s a fair amount. And I’d also bet they are some of the ones who ***** the most.

The gameday thread gets plenty of gripes about specific players, plays, decisions, etc. The critique is at times realistic, instant venting, often correct. this board is about discussion, and I appreciate many different thoughts and opinions, learn some things, and enjoy the differences. The hilarity ensues when there are any thoughts that anything we say or feel is going to make one iota of difference in the operations of this team.

Burst my bubble but I’ve even finally figured out my lucky underwear don’t actually make a difference on games won or lost

I may as well finally wash them

You can't be serious with this comment. Greedy? He went for it. I don't blame him. Unfortunately the ravens safety made a solid hit on the ball, a bang bang play. Wilson had it tucked. The pick was another matter that was a bad decision. I don't believe he should get the total blame for the loss.

Take a look at that Defense. Less then Steller. Henry and their O Line took the front 7 to task. And the secondary continues to be an issue with or without the injured.

So has Russ. Name one good defense he has had a good game against? You will not build a line that will protect him and get a Wr and fill the other holes we have on defense in the draft or have enough cap to sign players. We aren’t a SB team now nor will we be next year so signing Russ to a 2 or 3 year deal at his age ability is a massive mistake

    YOUR'RE PISSED?!?!

I had Trent in the Top 15 of my Top 32!!! How do you think I felt when we passed on him?!?! For that matter, as much as I love Zach Frazier, Tyler Linderbaum has been playing HIS ASS OFF this whole season!!

If Tyler Linderbaum isnt the best Center in the NFL right now?!.... he is on one helluva short list.
