He is not on the roster!

He was excellent last year filling in for Troy. In my opinion he is a must resign in case he or Clark gets hurt again. He can play either position.

Why is he not currently on the team? Did I miss them clipping him or something?

He's a Free Agent...one of the low end ones that if they bring back probably won't be right away (though I could be wrong).

No, it's Will. Cortez played at the Cb position, Will played at safety

I think with Mundy gone, we will def resign Will Allen, and probably draft a safety as well. But we also still have Robert Golden who hasnt looked too bad either.

That's the first compliment I've ever read regarding Will Allen.

He actually got quite a few last season for his play when he took over for Mundy when Troy was out.

Ah. I don't think I was on here much last season. I went to 9 games last year. Going to games has its advantages as well as its disadvantages.

You gain a lot being at the game that you miss out on watching on tv, but that goes both ways too. You're WAY misinformed on things (especially injuries) while at the game. I think you get a better 'big picture' being at the game (seeing the entire field, how open receivers are/aren't, etc) but you miss out on a lot of the details.

I was at XXX and had no idea Levon Kirkland put up the monster numbers he did in that game. I've yet to rewatch it. Have never seen the tv broadcast. Don't think I want to.

Will Allen was impressive last season precisely because he wasn't noticeable on the field. No splash plays, not too many mistakes, just got the job done. That's what you want from a back up.

Yep. A definite upgrade over Mundy.

Will Allen did play well it was also the first time he was healthy after numerous years here.

I think Steelers will be drafting a safety at some point though.

I don't know, man. I never knew when he was out there. I was too damn cold to pay attention. The KC and Balt home games were primetime and my limbs were shaking uncontrollably. The San Diego game was frigid too. The road game at Cleveland wasn't much better. And I was pretty much five rows from the roof in Texas Stadium so I couldn't tell much of anything from up there (probably watched the jumbotron more than the field).

Yinz know what I mean though. You don't get instant replay, close-ups, commentary, etc, at the game.
