Sounds dumber every time you post it

And to think after more than 7 months since your last post this is your best effort

I think it has already been a moderately successful season. They have a playoff spot wrapped up with three games to go and the offence doesn’t look like dog poop with a new QB and OC.That’s a step forward

They were never going to be a real Super Bowl contender this year, there are gaps in the roster but if they can get more weapons on offence and bolster the secondary in the offseason they will be a serious team going in to 2025

I’d re-sign Russ and Pickens and go all-in next season. It might not work of course, but they have the cap space and they’re close enough now to justify it.

I said it before, and I'll say it till I'm blue in the face....we are 1 CB, and one DL man away from being an Awesome Defense.

They’re arguably not that far away on offence either. A genuine #2 receiver to pair with Pickens would make a big difference and shouldn’t be that hard to find

Najee will likely move on and personally I believe he is better than he is given credit for but he is replaceable

Fautanu and Roman Wilson should be able to contribute going forward too, that’s like two new signings at this stage

Russ is old and he isn’t getting any younger. Wheels will fall off at any point now.

So if I understand you correctly you are saying we now only need one CB in the draft

    Great guy

You're missing the point! You can call him Tomlin, Dumblin, Stoogelin, Omar Epps, a great coach, a terrible coach, an average coach, a dumbass, a genius, or a god (some of you junior fans/kids/jeh people think he's THE God of coaching), etc... nobody gives a flying f*** about his name! The point is, he's cashed every damn PAYCHECK this organization has given him since 2007, and he's still cashing them to this day.

If he's done enough for you, so be it. If you think in the end, we're all winners, then so be it. If NON-LOSING seasons are enough for you, then so be it. If you think spewing catchphrases and rambling on about some crazy "standard" or some fake Organizational Mission Statement is fine, then so be it. If you have some man-crush on him, then so be it. If you think firing him and hiring a young, aggressive, hungry coach is the wrong move, then so be it.

Forget Dumblin's standard BS, the REAL standard was set with the Emperor. He set the bar so high, it's Super Bowl or failure in this city...NOTHING else matters on a football field in the City of Pittsburgh except Championships. Maybe using NON-LOSING seasons as COLLATERAL against Championships is acceptable to some, but not for most of the Steelers fans I know. Dumblin has now officially HIJACKED this organization, and guys like this jeh continue to wash his sack, year after year. For such a "good" coach, as so many claim, he has an awful empty trophy case! The game against the Cardinals seems like a long, long time ago (it was). Football seasons aren't meant to throw away, they're meant to win CHAMPIONSHIPS!

He is older but I’m not talking about giving him a five year deal

If you’re going all-in on a two year window while you still have TJ, Cam and the other pieces on defence then Russ is probably the only realistic option they have at QB

They need to get him better receivers however

Of course they want a playoff win. We all do. But they’ve had a tough schedule and the injury bug has bitten now

If they can hold on to the division and get a home playoff game vs Denver or the Chargers then they should be in a good position to get a playoff win finally

If the Ravens manage to take the division or becomes much harder obviously

You're making my point...Cowher's tenure in Pittsburgh was a FAILURE of epic proportions when you consider all the PAYCHECKS he cashed from this organization! Factoring in all the generational talent he had, considering all the HOF players he had, considering the Championship level defenses he had, as a coach, he was an UNDERACHIEVER that should have had 3 or 4 SB's...instead, he tried to force feed Korky as a QB instead of leaving him at WR. It probably still haunts him, too. You can't create dynasties in this league with scrap heap QB's & out-of-position QB's, that's for damn sure.

I just don't understand why so many brag up our coaches when they don't do their jobs right, and they don't do what they're paid to do...we should have 6 or 7 SB wins since 1992, yet only have 2. Not good enough, not even close! ANYTHING other than SB wins is a complete failure in the NFL...why so many Steelers fans love these "participation" and "non-losing" trophies is beyond comprehension, too.

The lack of any clear path forward after this year makes this a hard question for me to answer as well. Maybe the team has a good plan, but we won't know until it happens. I want a playoff win also, but that doesn't really change anything for the future (except maybe move you back a spot or 2 in the draft). And don't give me that, "young guys get playoff experience" bs

Based on my expectations going into the season I'd have to say, yes it was a successful season.

I agree that there's almost no way now to project anything from one season to the next. Just go back the last couple years and look at which teams we were told were young and surely poised to dominate in the future. Teams like the Bengals and Jaguars come to mind. And others who we are told are falling off a cliff and doomed like the Eagles of last year. And btw it isn't Saquon that's made the difference, it's their defense; which is made up of pretty much the exact same players as last year.

My point is that you have to look at each season as it's own entity in the modern NFL to evaluate success of failure. And saying the only successful team is the one who won the Superbowl is a lazy cop-out way of evaluating in my opinion.
