The only team that should trust him is Minnesota, and even then....

Insinuating that is a dumb decision? He was the 15th rated passer to start the year and 15 million a year would be the 20th highest paid non-rookie QB in the league (and the lowest paid non-rookie starter). Not a bad deal if you're looking for a bridge QB or if you are really wanting to run an offense like Philly does. He would be more than fine (and well worth the money) on a team with good weapons. He would've been worth 15 million to us this year.

Nobody knows yet... Hopefully its not a Kirk Cousins deal. Because if he wants 40+ million a year, I am more than fine letting him walk.

I used Rattler to troll some of the regulars during the off-season. But I was never serious. :lolol:

I would guess 35 to 40 per on 3 year deal. Hopefully leaning to 35.

Watt and Pickens are up to be extended as well.

Wilson stated he wants to be here. A mentor to a QB that they will draft in 2026.

Still less than Cousins who got a 180 million deal with 90 million guaranteed.

You've got less than 2 years on me in TSF years (slightly more than that in real years, I think), I think 10+ years gives me "seasoned" status as well :)

You made me think (knock it off)

It would be interesting if TTF gave little stars next to usernames Bronze 5 years Silver 10 Gold 15

It took me to weeks together on this board after it started and there are a few people still around who got on before me

If I intend to truly be insulting I eliminate all doubt

Someone needs to practice what they preach and watch the tape. There was a lot of bad play out of Wilson. Plus his age played a significant roll in saying he was done.

I did want Watson because the Watson that played for Houston was light years better than what he has been at Cleveland. Also, once I found out what it would take to sign him I was off of that.

As long as it didn’t cost a ridiculous amount to sign Darnold, I’d sign him to a 3 year deal. He’s had a great season. They won’t be in position to draft a QB without catching lightening in a bottle in the later rounds and throwing big money at Wilson would be twice as dumb as when they did it for Ben.

I know that :) its all good. I don't take much seriously on here either, its all in good fun. I've only ever had to mute one person on this site, lots of good people on here.

I do however like your idea on badges for time spent on here. Lots of names that have been around for a while. Lots of new ones too. Would be cool to see who is who.

This season, Darnold is definitely a better player than Wilson. He's had flashes before, but this is the longest sustained success that he's had. It would be a risk to sign him, but so would giving a big contract to Wilson. There is no sure thing anymore.

Wilson has had some nice moments. He's also looked really bad out there in stretches too (the Baltimore and Washington games were pretty ugly, and obviously the last two games without Pickens have been particularly rough). We need more weapons. Najee's been a total flop for the most part, and we don't have a real WR #2. I like Austin and Warren, and would certainly want to keep those two around. Lets see how the season finishes out, whether or not we win a playoff game, and how much money Wilson wants before we start committing to anything one way or the other with Russ.

I was just feeling good about Wilson and then these last two games happened. Definitely need Pickens back because if they need Wilson to play hero ball thats not going to go well at all.

You're not wrong..... kinda interesting that there is little difference in success between a 1st overall and the top 15 QBs. But bottom line, 90% of 1st round QBs don't make it to the top.

And just think next year he’s 37. He has played better than expected so far but if he flames out to end this season, which unfortunately is looking likely, how are we going to feel extending him at a premium? I like the fact that Fields is younger with more upside but have very little faith in him ever being a good enough passer in this league. He clearly struggles with reads and accuracy. I’m at a loss on the QB position heading into 2025. I think Russ is the best bet next year but he’s not signing a 1 year contract and even next year with him is questionable to me let alone beyond.

Thats why I very much wanted to see what Fields could do the rest of the season but I agree, not much faith he could become a good enough passer. It would be more hopeful than confidence that he could elevate his game.

How Wilson finishes the season will determine a lot but signing him to a lucrative deal would be asinine. Hopefully Khan is smarter than that.

Don’t be fooled by Darnold. He’s a product of the system at Minnesota. There’s a reason why he’s on his 4th team in 7 years. Also, we don’t have Jefferson and Addison at WR. Kyle Allen would have a career year throwing to those two

I totally disagree, but that's cool. We don't have to agree on everything. Ben put up over 50 tds in his last two years.....with Moore as his rookie LT, and Green as his rookie center, Claypool, and DJ , who nobody else's seems to want as His wrs. He was not even close to as bad as people try to say, and neither is Wilson....who actually takes care of Himself.
