Those same games would be televised regardless. Same revenue no?

not the same revenue - in that Netflix, I can only imagine - is pony'ing up MOOLA CASH to Goodell for these games.

Exactly. This is all driven by the Netflix deal.

Damn, the Steelers get smoked back to back to back on nationally televised games.
    Oh, the humanity.

Mahomes was a full participant in practice the last couple of days so it looks like we will have to face him unless he tweaks his ankle before that.

The Ravens faced the Giants on Sunday while the Steelers played the Eagles, I don't care about the 11 day stretch is the same the quality of the opponent is the bigger deal.

i am tired of the NFL conspiracy theory against the Steelers. We should have had PLENTY of latitude to drop 2 or 3 of these games - but we tripped up against HACK teams earlier in the year.

enough of the whining is my point.

The Giants pre-season, you act like we knew they would suck, like Goodell knew it too.

While I like that I will get to see the Steelers play Christmas day, I dont like that the NFL is basically headed to all pay per view games. This is nothing but greed and them not being able to control the salary cap. But the worst part about this is the 3 games in 11 days BS. If this was September, maybe a team could plan for that, but seeing that this is late December in the midst of a playoff/Division push, this is 100% against fair play and wanting to see the best teams get in. This is also all about money....and dont even get me started on the hard knocks BS which is exactly why our schedule is what it is....this is all about marketing. I never watched hard knocks before and only watched because of the Steelers, so the ploy works but that doesnt mean the schedule should be this lopsided in terms of a fair competitive balance. OK I'll step down off the soap box, NEXT?

I think Netflix paid the NFL 75 million for the Christmas games.

Pay per view would lose them tons of money. The networks and streaming services pay them way more than pay-per-view would generate

I'm sure they will try to add more games on Black Friday, but I was talking about no more games specifically on Thanksgiving day.

Mahomes will be fine. Already, he is back at practice. Sure, he may have lost mobility. The decision he has to make now is whether or not they play him against the Texans because if he does not have mobility, the Texans have a good rushing defence, and he may get mauled.
