It doesn't make You conspiracy theorists if You can connect things that others don't want to admit. This is not against the Steelers.....this is the Steelers are the biggest sell nationwide in the AFCN. It's good marketing for the NFL, and HBO/Max.....bad for the Steelers.
Some will say the schedule is already known a year before. Yes who You play, but not when You play them.
It's not magic that our every division games are scheduled just as the show about the AFCN starts.

Same here. Especially since I'll be watching at my sister's house and Ernie is her husband's name.

At this point with the injuries if Mahomes is out this is likely our most winnable game of the 3 remaining. I hope we somehow pull of this Saturday's game against the Ratbirds, but it doesn't look good if Watt and possibly Pickens are both out. Who knows about the Bengals? I kind of hope it doesn't much matter and we rest a bunch of guys.

If the Steelers and KC have nothing to play for on xmas day, both teams should play all back ups.
That would serve the NFL right

If that happens you would see the NFL step in and ban using all backups in a game. $$$$$

If they beat the Ravens, the final two games won't mean much. They would be the difference between the second or third seed. If they lose Saturday, the final game of the season is going to matter. Even if the Steelers lose to the Chiefs and the Ravens beat the Texans, the Steelers could still win the division if they beat the Bengals and the Ravens lose to the Browns. I can't see the Ravens losing to the Browns again, especially at home, but the Steelers will have to at least try to win because those two games will be played at the same time.

Agreed. There wouldn't be much left to play for if they beat the Ravens Saturday. In that case, I wouldn't hate it if they sat all of their key guys against the Chiefs as a big F you to the NFL. I doubt Tomlin would do it, but it would be a reasonable decision.

I agree with most of this, but the league had to know they were screwing the Steelers and choosing not to care is an issue. This is especially frustrating given how they screwed the team over in 2020. They owed the Steelers one after that debacle and chose to double down instead, counting on Rooney to play the good soldier as his family has always done.

In that case, the NFL must have chosen to screw the Chiefs and Ravens too, They also play 3 games in 11 days

the NFL chose GREED over PLAYER SAFETY

we should SCREW THEM BACK and sit our guys on Saturday, for a game that does not matter as much as our players health, to get ready for our SUPER BOWL RUN!!!! win the final 2, win the DIVISION

They did, but those teams didn't get screwed the way the Steelers were in 2020.

If you won this one you could sit players for 2 games. The odds of winning one game where you are 6 point underdogs are about the same as winning 2 games where you are 3 point favorites in both.

More importantly, conceding to the Ravens would make me ill.

But none of those teams face three very good teams like the Steelers have to play.

explain to me why playing 3 games in 11 days means more money for the NFL rather than playing the games in the regular manner.
