    I don’t think Houston has Much to play for. They are either the 3/4 seed guaranteed.

    so, they are 9 and 5 today.

    i guess you are right, in that no one else poses a threat in their Division......

    Thank you. I didn't want to be "that guy" but sometimes spelling really changes the meaning.

    If the Steelers get to 11 wins (winning in week 18), they'll probably be the 5 seed which means they'll probably go to Houston. If the Texans beat the Ravens on Christmas, the Steelers could be the 4 seed and host the Ravens.

    To drop to the 6 seed with 11 wins, Denver would have to win out (and they play the Chargers, Bengals and Chiefs)

    I guess it depends on if Cincy still has a shot and if GP is back by then? If Cincy is playing to win we could easily lose that game without GP

    If they beat Baltimore (if they even played them), they'd probably go to KC first.

    More likely

    @ Houston
    @ KC
    @ Buffalo (or @ Balt)

    If the Steelers go 11-6 (beating Cincy in a likely meaningless game to them), Denver would have to go 3-0 for the Steelers to be the 6.

    Yea I guess it depends on who gets the 3 seed if we are 6. The Baltimore Houston winner will likely get it.

    If we lose to Ravens they tie us in division record. So it matters who they lose to. If they lose to CLE and we beat Bengals we win the division.

    From there, the next tiebreaker would be record against common opponents, and after that it's record for games played within the conference. I think we currently have those but not sure if it could change

    Correct, if the Steelers beat Cincy in week 18, they win any tie with Baltimore, either at 11-6 or 12-5

    The Broncos still have to play these 3 teams, they can lose two of those games.
    @Chargers
    @Bengals

    If the Steelers win vs Cincy in week 18, they win any tie with Baltimore.

    The only way the Steelers lose the AFCN is the they have to lose 2 more games than Baltimore in the remaining 3 weeks.

    So either Baltimore goes 2-1 and the Steelers go 0-3 or Ravens go 3-0 and Steelers go 1-2 (or 0-3).

    Not getting into ties.

    San Diego plays Denver next week, so we'll see what happens. Denver has San Diego, Cincy, and the Chiefs the last week. Unless we beat the Chiefs, they won't have anything to play for. San Diego has Denver, the Patriots, and the Raiders. Could see either of them going 3-0

    If KC has the 1 seed wrapped up, I don't think they'll sit everyone. That would be nearly a month off (Dec 25 to Jan 19) without playing. Doubt they'd do that.

    You really think KC wants to sit guys from Dec 25 until Jan 18/19?

    No they wouldn’t sit them for our game but the next week (week 18)

    Then they would be sitting them from Dec 25 to Jan 18/19!!

    Week 16 - Dec 21
    Week 17 - Dec 25
    Week 18 - Jan 5
    Bye on Jan 11/12, since they'd be the 1 seed

    They're not sitting them in week 18 given the scenario you described

    No they would be sitting them Jan 5th until Jan 19th which is exactly what they will do if they are clinched as 1 seed.
