this is correct - this is how they feel about Harris. the dead horse will continue to be beat. I doubt he goes on to have any sort of illustrious career. We will sign a key FA RB or draft any number of guys I have been reading about, to compliment Warren, for the 2025 season.

the more this year goes on, the less likely I think they negotiate a 3 yr Harris deal in the off-season.

. Again I ask....if Warren is so much more explosive than Najee....then why does Najee have the longest runs, the longest catches this year, and is only .2 yard difference in ypc.....even though he has carried it almost 3 times as much????

Didn’t they score on their second possession of the game?

Yet even when Najee is out hurt for a while they still play someone other than Warren. We've seen that many times this year. Warren gets hurt....he doesn't play....Najee gets hurt He plays anyway.

I agree. Given Harris comments about RBs being devalued I doubt he signs here unless the market is ice cold for him.

We’ll find out if they believe Warren is starter capable, I think they do, I think that has been their plan all along and why they didn’t pickup Harris option. They’ll sign Warren to an extension after the season.

Yeah they think Warren is so capable as a starter when Najee is hurt , or taking a break....they start Patterson over Warren. LoL

Theres no ifs, I don’t know what you are watching if you don’t think Warren hits the holes faster.

You just said he carries it three times as much and you’re wondering why he has more explosive runs? Really? Not to mention Warren has been injured a lot this year.

If you want to make a clear cut argument for Harris it is that he is very durable.

he is very durable and does not fumble. those are 2 very good traits for sure! Tomlin lives his fears, thinking Warren will turn it over.....

we will see how that sits with MikeyT moving forward.....

If Winston did not suck so back , that game takes a QUICK turn for the the worst....

We're are your excuses for him???
If You haven't realized You so called eye test has let you down many times already, I don't know what to tell You. Again....eyes can be easily fooled. Ask, and con man, and illusionist. I tried giving a example of don't trust your eyes with the go-kart example.

If if if if....if I was still at work I wouldn't be commenting to you. If if if. You can if if if ever single game played every week, by every team.
All everyone knows for a fact is.....all year long two different rbs have gotten the starts over Warren.

I’m not seeing Najee finding a big FA market value

I would not be surprised to see him back

I suspect they tried to sign him long term and he overestimated his value

That is why I presented facts to support my opinion. They could have chosen to pass on the option because they think they can get him even cheaper. They could have done it because they wanted more flexibility. They could have done it because they were worried that he would have too much wear on the tires by then. I don't agree with their actions based on any of those reasons, but there are possibilities beyond the implication you are choosing. Also, the fact remains that they also made no move to lock up Warren, either, so they haven't committed to either guy.

What are the alternative reasons for them starting Harris over Warren all last season and this one? What are their reasons for giving Harris the ball more often? Warren has been healthy for a while now and they still aren't increasing his workload. When they had to put more of the load on someone else against the Bengals because Harris wasn't feeling well, they did not give it to Warren. They gave it to Patterson. That is the best indication yet that the do not see Warren as a feature back. They see him as a third-down and change-of-pace back behind Harris.

They haven't done anything to lock up Warren, either. Every bit of evidence we have demonstrates that they still see Harris as the better back.

The offense did not move the ball until they started hitting some passes down the field. There were other variables. Also, that wasn't the first time this season it took Wilson a while to get going.

For whatever reasons, Warren seems to have the better games against the Browns. It happened last year, too. Overall, Harris has been the better back.

@Blast Furnace@Blast Furnace, I get that you disagree with this take, but that wasn't a rhetorical question. I was genuinely curious what you think those questions. Why would Harris start if Warren is better? Why would he get the ball more? The argument that I have heard in the past is that they want to justify spending a first-round pick on Harris, but the GM who took Harris is gone. They have given up on one first-round pick that was taken after Harris. I don't think that explanation holds up, at least not any more.

It's simply He(Najee)is the most dependable RB of the whole bunch. He is not the fastest,,but speed doesn't make You a RB. Everything He does, He does well, from playing through injuries, catching, running, hanging onto the ball, and blocking. Warren is a great, great change of pace rb, and I don't understand why people must pit them against each other......especially some people that always complained about Tomlin running the wheels off of a RB, and now when He trades off touches.....now people want to complained about who He is giving it to. Makes No Freaking sense.

When has Warren proved he's the better back? Carrying the ball 6-8 times a game proves nothing, carrying the ball 20 times a game not fumbling and staying healthy means Harris the RB1.

Offense also didn't move because they had no passing game in the first half without Pickens.

This year nothing but seems you all forget he started the year injured. Last season he led or was near the top of just about every metric.

Don’t care what you guys say, I think hes a better back.
