I hope the torn labrum surgery scares off 16 other teams.

given a choice between the two, i would take ansah. he is alittle raw but i think he fits into a 3-4 better. jordan needs to get bigger and is a few years away from starting i think.

I pretty sure you can say bye to both of them. They won't be there at 17. Their 40 time was just too good.

Great times.. They're both ready to attack the line of scrimmage on obvious passing downs. Jordan needs to put weight on and Ansah needs to adjust to the level of play just like he did at the Senior Bowl. It won't take either long to be total beasts. Obviously I like Ansah of the two but I won't be upset if we land Jordan instead.

I think Chip Kelly will grab his guy Jordan with the Eagles first round pick.

I think there's a good chance he will go to Philly, and I think he's worth the pick.

My sentiments exactly, I have been watching this kid for awhile now,
he certainly looks like the real deal.

I think the Philly stuff may be smokescreens... but I wouldn't be surprised. I can't see him getting past Philly, Detroit, and Cleveland though. He'll go top 6.

His versatility is great. He looks as good in coverage as some college safeties. He brings way more to the 3-4 OLB position than just a pass rush.

Very athletic kid. Recruited as a WR. He kind of reminds me of a more athletic Jevon Kearse, though not as big.

Not interested in Jordan he's too lanky won't be able to hold up against the run there are other OLB who are more stout. Same goes for Mingo from LSU too skinny.

For the record, I am not a college football watcher so I don't claim to be as good at knowing what I'm talking about with the draft as I do with Steeler players. I rely on you guys a lot this time of year and I appreciate all the information and opinions. But I just watched a few of Jordan's tapes for the first time, and I'm not sure I see him as an OLB with us. Out of everyone on our team, he reminds me most of Timmons. I see a great athlete who can run like crazy, make good tackles, and cover better than a linebacker should, but I don't actually see much of a edge rush from him. I'd say he has potential because of his athleticism, but I'm not impressed by his pass rush as it is, which is the number one thing we should be looking for in an OLB. I'm sure he'd make a good blitzer as a 4-3 OLB, but in the three games I just watched, I saw him soundly beat an OT one time. The rest of his pressures had more to do with coverage, or coming unblocked. Also, I saw some Ziggy Hood Syndrome in him, where he looked undecided on whether he even wanted to rush the QB, because he thought maybe he couldn't get there, so maybe he should start dropping back, and oops the play's over and I was just standing here the whole time.

On top of that, as has been said, I think he'd have to get stronger to hold up as a run defender. JH did a lot of great things for us against the run, and if his replacement is weak there, it's going to hurt more than people realize.

I'm sure it won't make a difference because he'll go before we pick, but I was curious if anyone else thought the same thing.

Not interested in Jordan too skinny to be a 3/4 OLB can he hold up against the run. I would rather draft Ansah he's thicker.

i'm still in the cornelius washington camp. he's flying up the boards. the guy has some game and gets off blocks (ala aaron smith). they played him as a 3-4 DE. i watched alot of tape on him and several of the other georgia players and in the other players film, i watched him. he's as disruptive in the backfield as anyone. he's pretty fluid, and strong. he throws blockers off him easily.

he may not have made all the tackles and sacks but he was the cause of most of them. they used him to tie up blockers as a DE but he'd be much more effective as an OLB rushing on his own. he ran a 4.55 at 6-4 265 with 36 reps and has long arms. with all the OLB talent at georgia, they had to play him where they did, but he was wasted really. he would be a sweet fit here.

he makes the qb move into other players and that was at DE,imagine him coming off the edge with a true DE tying up his blockers. he may end up 2nd or 3rd round before the draft. that's the guy i want.

if you go to watch him don't just look at his tape, look at jarvis jones or some of the georgia d-linemens tape and watch him. then make your mind up as to what he could do here. it's worth the look. i'm sure nfl teams think different about him then most draft sites did. especially if they are running the 3-4. if not , this message will self destruct in 10 seconds.:smiley1:

washington is a stud. the kid can play multiple positions on our defense. he can play either olb or either mlb. he is quick and has good coverage skills. he dropped off alot at georgia. he is worth a third or maybe a second. in my opinion he will be a good pro

I never heard of Washington until the combine he posted some impressive numbers, he might be worth a mid round pick.

he has the speed. he's faster then the rest of them. he was stuck as a 3-4 DE in georgia's defense, because of all the talent they had. he made that talent better by disrupting the backfield and not only doing his job of tying up blockers, but forcing qb's and rb's into those players arms. he's a keeper.
