Can he be trusted? Someone is going to give him Baker Mayfield money.

Darnold is a another perfect example that being in a good situation for a QB matter big time...He was in a awful situation with the jets and panthers now in a great situation with the vikings, talent and coaching,he is much better!

29 overall tds, 10 ints, and 7 fumbles....for a 7 year vet on a stacked team is not very impressive.....it's average.

Man, you really have a hard time giving other teams players credit.
The Vikings are 11-2. That doesn't happen with average QB play. It's a QB driven league.
They've also scored more points than most other teams in the league (9th best I believe). Again, that doesn't happen with average QB play.
I'm not saying he's elite, but he's been much better than average.

His QB rating is at 108 and the vikings are 11-2...Sorry,this is not average, this is very good!

He had 2-3 bad games in the middle of the season like the game vs Jets and Jaguars but overall this is a very good year for him.He has a QB rating of 100 or more in every game outside of those 2 games and he has 11 TD,0 INT in the last 4 games,so he is better and better

IDK the Viles CAP situation, but even at expensive as te QB tag is I would give ample consideration into tagging him. Cost is going to be 42 million (or more) but your team is in the window NOW, you really have no idea how the young guy is going to do. If you can do it with both the WR they have, another year backing up can really help him and you still have 3 years on the original contract. The risk to Darnold in injury, but young enough if he has another year like this someone will offer a big contract in 26.

Sorry I don't judge a player on one good season out of 7. There are so many examples of this in the NFL it's crazy, but Hey everyone that thinks He is now great.....fine with Me that's your opinion, but it takes more than one year for me. Kurt Cousins put up very nearly the exact same stats , and wins for longer....on the very same team.....so is Kurt Cousins great???, and He did it longer.

Hey if You want to crown a guy for one decent season out of 7, or 8 go ahead, but please remember that K. Cousins put up simular, and even better numbers, and wins on this same team. I guess K.Cousins is great also. LoL
Also crazy thing....Ben put up ....34 tds, and 10 ints....went 12-3, and half this board said He was done, and should have retired. Crazy how people flip flop.

My point is that being in a good situation with good coaching and good players around you matter big time.....The jets and panthers were complete garbage when he was in those teams and they are still a dumpster fire since that time.Darnold is in a good situation this year as starter for the first time in his career and the result are much better

Ben had been good in the first 2-3 month in 2020,but he struggle big time in december and he could not throw past 10 yards or the yellow line for the first down....Cousins was a good QB,not great but still good....The biggest problem for him,the achilles injury is such a killer for a player in any sport....Very rare we see a player still play well after that injury....Kevin Durant in the NBA is one of the few exception

Really? In what world do you envision Picket winning 11 games in a single season?

Comparing Pickett and Darnold is a joke. The vikings struck gold picking up Darnold. Please tell us what the eagles gained by acquiring Pickett?

You asked a question I gave an answer. Please people....don't act like I wanted to keep Kenny Pickett.....I was the one trying to get them to start Mason Rudolph all the time. I was talking about winning.
If people want to judge a Qb by one year of a 7, or 8 year career.....so be it.
So if a Guy is good for 6 years ,,but He has a bad year......does that mean He sucks now??......if You think a guy that has had 7 bad years, and one good year is great.....then You must.......this is why I don't judge anyone on one year, but hey people don't disappear next year. LoL
One year doesn't make , or break a player. Never has, and never will. Anyone that has watched football knows we have seen Great players have a bad year, and terrible player have a Good year

Why does his past matter? I'm saying this year he is playing better than average, far better. I don't think anyone here is saying he's elite or that they want to trade for him or anything.

Pickett didn't win enough to keep his job as a starter... anywhere. Vikings made a good pickup and Darnold is having a great season. Give him some credit.
