He is an unrestricted Free Agent this offseason. He will be 31 years old and is still playing at a very high level. He would be great for the younger guys. He is an incredibly intelligent football player. I actually see nothing negative about bringing him back for a couple more seasons. Anybody on here against this thought?

I dont think we need his caliber of play at this point. I liked him when he was here but Austin torched him on that TD and I can see he is slowing down. Father time is getting the best of him.

I would rather stick with Beanie Bishop he's younger and cheaper.

Beanie Bishop is essentially what Mike Hilton used to be. Give Beanie another season and he will begin to produce at a similar rate like how Mike used to. Bringing back Hilton doesn't solve having a number two Corner at the moment.

I expect either FA or the 2025 NFL Draft to give us that answer.

I totally see where You are coming from with this, and as a Guy who thinks the DBs are the most important part of any Defense...I wouldn't hate it if they did, but I'm hoping for a nice pick in the upcoming draft.

Hilton isn't good in coverage and he's on the wrong side of 30.

I know exactly what He is. I wouldn't give much for him, but He's a decent backup, and a good mentor. It's also why I said......, but I'm hoping for a nice pick in the upcoming draft. You know me .....I want a 1st round DB every draft.

Hilton can still play and will be in the league for at least 3 more years.

I loved him when he was here and was sad to see him go.

But he's washed now. I'm not sure he could make the team.

Hilton was terrific around the line of scrimmage for us, but he had glaring deficiencies when he had to cover downfield. I’m on the no side of this one.

Hilton is in decline. It was even talked about during the broadcastthat teams are picking on him.

Well, it looks like I’m in the minority here of having him return. :worried: That being said I have seen a few sources that believe that the Steelers will probably make some sort of offer when the time arises. I wouldn’t hate it but no way should they break the bank for him.

I'm not for it. Hilton to me has only ever had one great talent. He can blitz from the slot and sacks the QB. He doesn't get blocked or when they try he can get lower and make a hit. I haven't kept close tabs on him with the Bengals but his coverage skill seem average at best and he doesn't shut guys down consistently. I remember people getting all upset that he went to the Bengals based just on his sacks and what would the Steelers do. Then his whole they didn't wantme/ value me thing.

I think if money is tight and he'd do a vet minimum it would be OK but I don't think he brings more than that talent for getting to the QB on a NB blitz, buts that's just my two cents.
