    1. It wasn't pretty, but what do you expect from Steelers/Ravens

    2. Like the Justin Fields package..... we should probably use that inside the 10

    3. For the most part, the defense brought it

    4. Patrick Queen has settled into the defensive playmaker that we thought we signed

    5. Good thing Boswell didn't get too much work the previous week, because we definitely needed him well rested this wk

    6. Nick Herbig made his return felt early

    7. Payton Wilson may have had the defensive play of the game

    8. We really started to move the ball consistently when we got the TE's involved

    9. Broderick Jones play was uneven.... good at times and really bad at others, but he definitely showed fire

    10. Where the hell was Michael Williams

    11. The only thing that can stop George Pickens is George Pickens

    12. For those that doubted, this team is for real!!!!!

    13. The secondary, in general, made things easy for the front 7

    14. Joey porter jr had a really nice rebound game

I’d be interested to see if Williams was out there at all.

End of the day, we still only have one consistent playmaking WR on this team.

We got to find another reliable threat in the pass game. I would do everything thing I can to get Freiermuth more involved.

He was out there, but he wasn't targeted even once.

    Boz is incredible.

    Defense battled all day.

    Offense was bad. Very concerning.

I definitely agree that it would be great to see some designed packages using Fields inside the 10. It would certainly make things interesting. It's maybe the only area of the field where I think Fields is better equipped to score than Wilson.

Putting him in last series, cold and rusty was somewhat risky but worked. Hopefully it was a start to more inventive use in the weeks ahead.

I'd also add that Payton Wilson's interception was, technically speaking, one of, if not the most impressive that I've ever seen in my 3 and a half decades of watching Steelers football.

What's really sad about this win is Cowherd and sports media will focus on how bad the offense played while ignoring the greatness of the defense.

Thanks again for this post, first thing I read after a game.

Payton Wilson and Zach Frazier have proved they were the badasses we hoped they would be when we drafted them. However, isn't there someone on the practice squad better than Broderick Jones?

I mean, to be fair, this was his first divisional game and it was against a rival that has always tended to make things challenging for our offenses - even with Ben at his prime - so I'm hesitant to call it a regression. I think we would need to see more of pattern. Hopefully that won't be the case - although with the majority of our remaining games being against divisional opponents, he's probably going to have his work cut out for him, regardless.

It was a typical Ravens/Steelers game… our offense line failed to be dominant.

That’s how it has been the last 20 years.

What is the story with Freiermuth? Are they just keeping him in to block or have injuries already made him lose a step?

I agree with most of this, but I would add one.

    15. The loss of Roquan Smith in the fourth quarter was huge. The Steelers moved the ball much better with him out of the game. He was blowing up plays like that last third-down conversion run by Harris all day. The Steelers did a great job taking advantage of his absence.

True. The Ravens deserve a lot of credit for Wilson's rough day. They used the long break after the Thursday Night game to revamp their coverages. They pressured Wilson all day, which probably led to him forcing one on that interception.

All of that said, Wilson has to be better. He missed some open throws and that interception was a stupid risk. I know Washington had a shot if he made a good play on the ball, but that is asking a lot of him. Better to throw it away and let Boswell push the lead to eight. Sure, they got the interception and drove for three on the next drive, but that just as easily could have put them up 11. Wilson also missed on the one deep ball to Austin early. If he drops that in like he did the one to Pickens later, it might have been a long touchdown.

we had TOP at 36 minutes. Warren and Harris had some nice runs and played solid - considering #1 rank run D

nice to see Washington have 2 big plays. need more of that.

Well, the Ravens are good, and they came to play today. If Wilson regressed, then where did Lamar slide back to today?

Whatever complaints we might have today, how are their fans feeling right now?

I blame the O-line. Wilson got less time than average.

Wilson did make one dumb decision that resulted in a pick and no FG, but constant pressure does that to just about anyone at QB.
