I posted another misunderstood lyric from this same song previously, but I was half listening to this on the way to work today, and at this part at 4:16, I heard "choking on the steak fries."

Took me awhile to figure out the song. Didn't give it enough thought when posted but I'd hear the damn song on the radio and couldn't figure out why it was ringing a bell. Phil Collins better be right. Billie Billie don't lose that number?

    BTW, laughed my ass off.

Come on man! I can't get this right off but now it will zap my mindfulness on the mystical putting green.

Don't worry. I'll wager more than half of us misheard that one. I thought the same thing for almost 25 years.

I thought the same thing for almost 25 years...

    Almost 25 years...

    25 years.

    WTF?!?!?!

Now you have me wondering if Megadeth is singing "Never wore cologne" instead of "Never walk alone."

For years I've heard "Toot the message out" but actually thought the lyric was "Shoot the messenger" on this song, but I was wrong on both accounts. It's actually "Truth will mess you up":

(Video starts at the spot in question)

I found my misheard lyrics book and I'm putting a few up here. If repeats, sorry. Enjoy.

L.A. Woman, The Doors: Well I just got into town about an hour ago. = Well I dig a little dog about an hour ago.

Centerfold, J. Geils Band: My angel is a centerfold. = My anus is the center hole.

Suffragette city, Bowie: This mellow thighed chick. = The smell of my check.

Jeremy, Pearl Jam: Jeremy spoke in class today. = Jeremy smoked grass today.

Looks like we made it, Barry Manilow: Looks like we made it. = Looks like tomatoes.

Living loving maid, Zepplin: With a purple umbrella and a fifty cent hat. = With a purple operator and fifty cent hair. (I use to sing it that way)

Is that the book "Scuze Me While I Kiss This Guy?"

We had that at a music store where I used to work in the mid-90s.

Hendrix on the cover. I loved the dedication: "This book is dedicated to my parents, who never took me to the doctor to get my hearing checked."

Saw these on a wall at the ferry: From The Bangles (I think) " Just Another Manic Sundae" and from 50 centavos "Go Shorty, it's Sherbet day".

    GO STEELERS!!! Shock the NFL!!
