Too many busted plays.... but not all of that is on Wilson. The OL played poorly on several 1st and 2nd downs.... this has to be cleaned up for the divisional games.

Kudos to Russell. I wish we could put Fields legs on him. The O line had some tough moments. I was impressed with how he did escape trouble at times.

what this award says is that there was no stand out players. It was bleak most of the game. the OLINE was owned almost all day. Russ make the final plays to win, and THAT is why he was signed. Read that again, Fields fans. THAT is why Russ was brought here. To be the VETERAN to make a few plays, when they HAD to be made. He was FAR from great all day.

It was a less than spectacular day for most players. Minkah continues to disappoint.

Queen stood out as SHOWING UP big for a number of plays.

Porter SUCKED. He knew he was getting beat like a drum and resorted to 2023 tactics. He better learn from yesterday.

Najee BALLED again! He may have been my Player of the Week. So did PICKENS. Maybe my player also.

and that fumble by Warren - yes, he needs to hold the ball longer but whistle should have been BLOWN

This. I still maintain the biggest edge Wilson provides is his ability to read the field and find the right guy. Passing wise, he’s not impressing me. The Pickens TD was another awesome catch bailing out a bad throw.

The switch at QB was the right call, the offense is playing much better but Wilson needs to start throwing the football better.

yes they are - and yes, he does. He was not crisp yesterday w his passes.

that said, scoring more points than they could or would w Fields.

this is all I was looking for. We won't be a top 15 offense. NEVER expected that.

I'm kind of surprised we haven't put in any short yardage/ goal line packages for Fields to use him as a runner. At the very least it would give other teams something else to have to prepare for. If they are there, and we're saving it, I'm also fine with that. They may also not want to risk him getting hurt and losing him as a backup. I hope they are at least considering it though.

Wilson may not have looked perfect, but it was clear that they came in with a game plan to pound the ball, work off play action and go deep. I don't think the OLINE did their part and that contributed to a less than stellar completion percentage which most naysayers are focusing on.

I do wish they would have mixed up that approach a bit at times as the Commanders were stuffing the run well. But the times they did that they took a sack. The commitment to running the ball to negate big negative plays and the Commanders staying in the 1 high safety look was capitalized on by the Steelers.

Hopefully as teams look at film to stop the deep ball, the run becomes more difficult to stop and maybe that play action starts finding mid-range availability.

All in all I like the approach the Steelers are taking...lets hope Arthur continues to build on this momentum and continues to devise game plans based on opponents weaknesses.

Who's to say that he isn't at this current time?! Remember that the team still does have Tom Arth as well. He aided Justin Herbert a great deal during his early days with the Chargers. I expect him to do so the same for Fields.

That last TD that Wilson threw was a thing of beauty. If You watch the D was coming, and He couldn't even step into it, and still made a great throw.
Will we lose another game.....probably , but we are serious threats to any team right now.
