Maybe we could use an old, washed up, mostly injured LB. We could pay him a billion a year with 800M guaranteed!!!!!!!!!!!:lolol:

The guy has 1400 tackles in his career ( very productive and rarely hurt), still productive and is a bad mo fo on the field..he has spent less time in the tub than many of the current Steelers "stars". He holds record of games played without making it to the playoffs. All his teamates love him and I could see a team with a MLB need to sign him and it would motivate the team to take him to the SB. If the price was right I wouldnt blink an eye if the Steelers signed Spikes.

Spikes was never injury prone so much as he was just unfortunate to play on a bunch non play off teams. I can some team picking him up but not the Steelers.

I have a confession to make. Living in Cincinnati I was somewhat of a Bengals fan back in the day. I rooted for the Bengals when they weren't playing the Steelers and went to a lot of games. Once the Carson Palmer era began and the city got a whiff of success I got so much crap from the fair weather fans that it's turned me away from the team ever since.

However, man back in the day Takeo was (and still is) one of my favorite players. If contracts are completely even I'd take Takeo over Foote.

When he was young, I'd agree. He was a force once upon a time. That time has come and gone.

Not interested our defense is already old we need to get younger and faster.
