My thoughts on regular season wk 9 by wk .2nd half schedule edition..

1. Washington still has no real defense.. obviously, we have to contain Daniels

2. Ravens struggle in pass defense.... So we may have a shootout on our hands .. not sure how to stop that offense

3. Browns gonna brown

4. Bungles don't scare me one bit

5. Eagles will be quite difficult, but I guarantee you that Saquon won't be reverse bunny hopping any of our defenders

6. Despite winning, the Chiefs were exposed a little against Tampa

7. By wk came at the perfect time to get healthy

8. Welcome aboard Michael Williams

9. If we can manage a 7-2 record for the 2nd half, I will consider us a legitimate Superbowl contender

10. It would be nice to see Minkah start to generate some turnovers when we get back on the field

 

Think they can be Super Bowl contenders without going 7-2...feels a little too optimistic.

 

Bengals still worry me. 4-2 in the AFCN I'd be thrilled.

From reading the Board I believe the Steelers got a little better.

Said it in another thread, 9 heartburn games coming up. I cannot see the Steelers getting blown out by anyone but I can see 9 nail bitters.

 

I think the Bengals can be scary still because I don't think the Steelers want to get into a shootout with them, 7-2 is too optimistic with this backloaded schedule IMO.

I keep wondering if Minkah will ever get an interception or make a splash play again? He sure has been quite for the last couple of seasons now, just hope he can turn that trend around after the bye.

 

Commanders picked up CB Lattimore from the Saints, so that will upgrade their secondary.

 

It doesn't seem teams are really throwing in his direction much.

 

There is more to playing the position then ints. Not saying you, but I guess all the tackles he had to have last season because of all the ILBs being injured, or the balls he has dislodged this year don't count??

We have not played a good team that was playing at a high level yet. If we beat Wash, then IMO we get upgraded to about 4th in AFC.

People making excuses for Minkah is funny. Guy gets paid a lot of money to have 0 INTs in 2 years!! Call a spade a spade.

If the Steelers go 6-3 second half you would have to consider them legit contenders at least to win a playoff game or two.

 

Good news is the Steelers get him for the 1st game with the Commanders, and not later in the season when he has had a chance to get familiar with the Defense and players. CB must be one of the hardest non QB positions to pickup in football.

 

Do you see Minkah getting beat constantly in coverage?

 

Lattimore might not play against the Steelers he has a hamstring injury.
