As well as Jones is playing at RT right now, why in the world would you release Cook? Welcome back John Leglue?

 

This is surprising considering how bad Calvin Anderson looked on that play he replaced Dan Moore. Maybe Cook didn't look good after returning from injury.

If he clears waivers we can bring him back to the PS and bring him up on game days as the emergency offensive linemen. I think it is two of them per game. I don't think it's counted as one of the PS players they can bring up 3 times protected, since he's a lineman.

 

I remember that change from 2 or so years ago, makes sense.

I know you're joking about Leglue, but don't be too surprised if that actually happens. With the way Jones is playing, Leglue would be an upgrade.

 

Leglue was a fun backup to root for back in 2021; I remember he had a great fan back story. Because of injuries he ended up starting for the Steelers for 5 games that year. Since then he has played a grand total of 1 game for Atlanta. I really hope the Steelers are not looking at Leglue for a replacement to Jones this year.

I still have no faith in Connor being a lead blocker in the FB position. I think Najee would be so much better off if the Steelers had an actual FB on the team.
