This is a series I started the other day....because my dumb a$$ thought it was a movie. LoL. I didn't realize till the end it was a series.
If You were around in the 80s and remembered the hysteria of the devil worshipping that many towns were going through.....You may enjoy this.....plus 80s metal.

How'd I know you'd find this series. I could see you as a high school head banger. I did the exact same thing you did. Saw it while perusing Peacock and thought it was a movie. I'm up to show 4. I think there are 8 episodes????

 

I remember that crap. I always found it hysterical. They got their panties in a wad over Dungeons and Dragons as well. The supposed subliminal messages on records. “If you play it backwards you can hear all hail Satan! Kiss stood for knights in satan’s service. Ac/dc- after Christ devil comes

Exactly. Also remember how many bands played into this on both sides for sales....That is why I watched this thinking it was just a movie, but now I'm interested, and am recording the rest to watch when the season is over. It was definitely interesting because of those elements.

I remember a friend's church I was attending was doing Kiss tunes, and they were just hearing what they wanted to hear. Yes there are tunes that used it, and even more that did it after all the Hysteria......,,but 99 % of the stuff they were trying to say they heard before that was pure bull$hit.
I remember asking.....why were You listening to it backwards in the 1st place???
It's so funny because of course bands then used it as a gimmick to sell them selves, and other bands tried using the opposite gimmick to sell themselves like Stryper. LoL

When I saw who posted this thread I would have bet the farm that this thread was going to be about the song by Def Leppard. They. Had such a unique sound with the one arm drummer.

One of my brothers has always been a big conspiracy theorist. Around the time of "Abbey Road" and the "White" album, he was convinced that the rumors were true and that Paul was dead. Even after I pointed out that the credits listed Lennon AND McCartney as the songwriters. He also believed that there were satanic messages if you played the white album backwards even though we didn't know anyone who had a turntable that turned backwards! After he became "born again", he insisted that AC/DC stood for antichrist/devil's children.

 

Did You explain it was actually two different types of electrical current, and that hopefully if the Devil was using a band they wouldn't be so boring. LoL

War is sad but when Israel goes to war I enjoy watching the televangelist because they are convinced the "rapture" is coming soon. As for me I hope it happens or me and my 2 other sisters will have to pay for other sisters funeral. We have all planned our funerals except for are poorest sibling. She is 100% convinced she'll be flying away within the year.
