This alll but confirms he available, remember how the Titans and both Raiders acted like they weren't trading Adams of Hopkins then the next day they were gone. All they did in this post was say "we want a 3rd for Slayton" so probably a 4th or 2 5ths will get it done.

I would, also. Just responding to someone saying there wouldn't be a midseason Tackle trade, minutes before a midseason tackle trade.

I feel like Khan is just one step behind everyone else in the AFC. The 3 best teams in the AFC have all signed brand new WR's to compete in the playoffs, and the Steelers are once again on the outside looking in.

    Kansas City Chiefs: DeAndre Hopkins
    Buffalo Bills: Amari Cooper
    Baltimore Ravens: Diontae Johnson

I've had it. This is why the Steelers don't win in January and never get to play in February.

We will just be happy to go 10-7, make it to the playoffs and lose to one of these 3 teams that know what it takes to win in January.

I guess Khan did make a Move.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially signed veteran wide receiver Andy Isabella.
It is like Khan is shopping at the slightly irregular discount store. :)

If you want to know something that is really funny, Noah Strackbein is still reporting today that the Steelers are still trying to sign Cooper Kupp. Despite all the news about Kupp going nowhere; Khan has all his focus on signing Cooper Kupp.

I didn't read the articles but I was seeing stuff that was saying it. And I was wondering if they were just behind or still thinking it's a possibility.

It is very upsetting that we have not made any moves like all the other teams.

I think Khan is star gazing. Put all his eggs into Brandon Aiyuk, and then put all his eggs into Davante Adams, now I'm getting the feeling he is putting all his eggs into Copper Kupp. I hope I am wrong but I have a sinking feeling he is going to keep trying to go after Kupp when he isn't even available and miss out on Darius Slayton or Jacobi Meyers. I hope I'm wrong

Khan is like a true homerun hitter...Love hitting homerun but can have some strikeout with that.He just need a single in this case!

I keep seeing this theory even though there is no evidence to back it up. Seriously, there is absolutely nothing to indicate that he spent time focused solely on any of those players.

I'm frustrated with the way Khan has handled this, too, but that doesn't mean these made up theories serve any purpose.

Certain position players can have an immediate impact, OL can, but the level of timing and communication needed in that unit as a whole makes it very difficult. We are very thin in OL depth, but unless you trade for a decent starter (not likely as you stated) your options from your PS are probably the best option.

I get the frustration, but WTF do any of us really know what goes on in these talks. It's obvious Khan has been looking for a WR, what many fail to realize it takes the other side to negotiate as well, then the player (especially an established vet) can simply say I won't show up there.

Noah Strackbein has never had a thought on his own. Everyday he finds a random comment from someone else twists it around and fills in 3 paragraphs of old news. If I see his name I stop reading.

Agreed. He hasn't been perfect but he's done well and we don't know what conversations have really taken place. He can't force another team to trade and I don't want him giving up big draft assets for an aging and/or expensive player. Slayton has been my target but he's a pending FA and that's not worth a 2nd or 3rd.

Given the relatively low price for some of them, including Hopkins, it is clear Khan has done a poor job. It isn't that he didn't try. There was way too much smoke regarding Aiyuk for me to believe that. He just didn't get the job done. I hope that can change by the deadline, but I'm not optimistic.

Steelers not trading for a WR before the deadline is why they haven't won a playoff game since 2016? :roflmao:

Those 3 teams have and have had a real QB since 2016 and competent coaches / coordinators.

At seasons end with the 7th Lombardi in the case every NFL team will be offering up huge value to grab our receivers

Courtland Suttons name has resurfaced. His name was mentioned at the beginning of the season but it was always more likely that if Denver moved on from him it would be closer to the deadline as to see where they stand as a team.

Sitting at 5-3 and Bo Nix is starting to play some pretty good ball, not sure they would want to take away one of his weapons now.

    Probably more smoke.

Wilson is starting to connect with Jefferson and Austin. Maybe they are seeing something in practice that makes them believe that they do not need to break the bank for a WR2

I hope this isn't the case. I understand that Austin and Jefferson each caught a TD pass over the past two weeks, but that doesn't mean they are #2 WR's. I think they are fine enough players to be on the field, but our offense could be a ton more explosive if we have another weapon. It will open up more for GP, and even keep defenses more on their heels so that Harris/Warren/Patterson can have more space to run. We missed out on a few guys already. I'm not saying we have to trade for Tyreek Hill or DK Metcalf right this second, cost be damned... but I do think we need to bring in someone with some experience being a #2 guy. It should only help us when the games matter down the line.
