Dexter Lawrence can wreck a game all by himself. He reminds me of Cam Heyward in his prime.

Elumenor got exactly what he wanted. TJ on an island . This is why it's important to keep your big mouth shut.

Bottom line is, 6-2 going into a bye week is huge. Wilson is showing that he still has something left in the tank and Harris is running with a purpose (finally!). With that said, we left a lot of points on the field last night and need to clean that up going forward. I still don't understand why we aren't using our TEs, especially down on the goal line. Washington is such a matchup problem and we're underusing him badly. I also can not figure out why Tomlin didn't use one of their 3 time outs late in game to give the defense a small rest and get TJ and Highsmith back on the field. The clock was stopped. It worked out, but it doesn't change the question.

    9. How many points has Broderick Jones removed from the scoreboard this year?

Inquiring minds would like to know. Some of you stat geeks need to get busy. I'm too lazy to look it up. :smiley1:

It will be nice to have Fields be healthy, he can be used to bring another option for red zone plays. He scores last night on the play at the 4 yard line.

Interesting that we scored 26 points, and we’re disappointed by how many we left on the field. Could have worse problems.

Why? All receivers not named Pickens with 204 yards on the night. That's a sound outing.

A win is a win, but we only won by 8 when the game shouldn't have been close. Getting into the red zone and kicking field goals isn't going to cut it against good teams. The Giants are pretty terrible but if they score TDs instead of FGs, this game could have been very different. We can't count on the Ravens, Bills, Chiefs kicking FGs when they're knocking on the door.

Jefferson is a fine No. 3 or No. 4. He made one excellent catch last night, but overall, he's not a guy you want starting. Slayton would be a huge upgrade, as he showed last night, and the Giants are going nowhere.

Najee had a pitch play that worked for a first down when he hurdled the defender.

They settled for field goals on all four trips into the red zone. That's not good. The offense scored just one touchdown, the pass to Austin, and 19 total points. The other touchdown came on special teams. Of course that counts, but it isn't part of the offensive production.

I don't think Pickens will be getting any Christmas gifts for Broderick, who has cost him some big plays with his bonehead penalties .

If they won by 14 points it still only counts as only one win in the standings, they covered the spread of -6 .

It can't hurt to add another weapon because of the tough schedule at the end, and in the playoffs.

Feel like this is when Muth needs to be more involved too. Blows me away he doesn't catch more balls.

Especially since they gave him that new contract, but he only gets 2-4 receptions a game.

Yep...but it is a new offense so trying to keep everything in perspective. This BYE week comes at a great time. Perfect time to assess the season so far and make adjustments for the next half.

Beanie has made some nice splash plays but his coverage has been lacking

So it depends on how good Sutton is in coverage in comparison

Steelers are exactly where I thought they needed to be at mid-season bye-week point.

I really thought they needed to be 6-2.

The 2nd half of the season is going to be very hard. Especially with 6 division games over 8 weeks.

Washington looks legit and looks like they got a dude. KC is still KC, undefeated and still not really playing good, which should be scary.

But, I really don't think there is a team that the Steelers can't play with as long as they play their game. I don't see a team in the NFL this year who can't be taken. Its a lot of average teams.

    21 Points total I believe.

I could be low balling that though. Two of those were against the likes of Denver.
