not who many thought. blazing fast. i figured they would have signed him before this. they worked him out awhile ago.

 

93.7 The Fan mentioned him around 3 weeks ago as a likely signing. He's a slightly bigger CA3 at 5'9" and 185 and Isabella does run a 4.31 which is comparable to Austin.

 

i like the signing. i was hoping they did it when they worked him out. i'd almost expect wilson to head to IR at some point. we got a lot of speed at the WR spot. miller isn't slow. CA isn't slow. AI is a burner as well. run this speed all over the field and it should help keep some coverage off of pickens. i think we will see an uptick in the WR's roles as this moves forward. we have some good offensive firepower. how they use it will be interesting to watch.

 

I figured they'd have to sign someone with Roman's latest set back.

 

33 career receptions in 33 career games, second round pick in 2019. What is the negative side of this guy? Injuries? Or was it a QB/OC issue.

As a second round pick, he should have had that many receptions in a couple of games.

 

Can he catch a football better than Austin

Maybe with the short heights ? (oxy?) of Russell and other WRs
we complete passes in the underneath more.

Speed is the great equalizer. You can cover up a lot of inconsistency and poor technique with speed.

 

He’s the same speed as Austin

When you have speed everywhere it spreads out the defense. Somebody is very open and it's going to help out the run game even more.
