Like I asked in the game thread. Did Tomlin run up the score? On the in last Td it looked like the jets d thought we was gonna take a knee.. With 30 seconds to go in the game with a lead Tomlin would take a knee 10/ 10 times....

The season of no mercy. The Steelers are far more aggressive this year than anytime in the past decade. Playing to win for sure.

I think Harris wanted that on his own.

You know points does help, if it ever came down to one of the tie breakers needed

The steelers have rarely had this opportunity in recent years to run the score, so why not and what the jets had to do was to stop Harris before he reached the red zone but they didn't!

    Not our problem

To me, it looked like they were just trying for a first down. They would have taken a knee the next play. If they didn't get the first, oh well. The Jets only get 30 seconds buried deep in their own end.

But Najee just busted right through.

For a team that could barely score two weeks ago, by all means, run up the score. There are stretches when the Steelers haven't scored 37 points in 3 games.

Just happy that we can actually have a conversation about the Steelers running up the score. I mean really how many times have you even thought about this happening in the last 10 years.

The Steelers could have tacked on another TD against the Chargers but took a knee at the 1. I thought they should have scored just for the tie breaker possibility. If there is even the slightest possibility of that coming into play then you should not overlook it during any part of the regular season.

I have no problem with this. If the Jets don't like it, stop them. I agree that they would have taken a knee if they got the first down without scoring, but Harris was in beast mode late in that game.

Yea, but I'd hate to see it come down to a coin toss.

I thought maybe the last TD was an eff you to the refs who were doing everything they could to keep the Jets in the game.

That was one of the few games where the Steelers were legit looking for the refs the whole game after they were flagged for something. Larry O gets a 15 yard for unnecessary roughness and then late in the game Jets defender suplexs a Steeler player and the oline all look at the refs going "you gonna pull out the flag on that one?"

Yup. The Jets got away with slamming Steelers to the ground a couple of times with no call. Throw in the ridiculous leverage call against Fitzpatrick in the blocked extra point and the many times they got away with holding Highsmith and the Steelers had ample reason to be frustrated with the officials.

Let's not forget the blatant early forward progress whistles whenever Naj and Warren were so clearly still pushing the pile. Not sure what game the refs were watching.
