Yup, and the Steelers went over 400 the first game after Canada got fired. Tomlin still deserves major criticism for the hire and sticking with him as long as he did.

I was screaming at the TV tonight when he paused on like 3-4 runs that he easily could have broken for 5+ more yards even if he was tackled had he just plowed ahead!!!

So many good takes by everyone in this thread tonight.

I have felt like so much was fools gold all year and even after all the injuries like there was too much luck to feel truly good about. This game turned into a curing tonic elixir tonight.

It gave me hope. And if we don’t do the ol “play down to the competition” thing with the NY midgets next week before the bye, then I will happily be back on track and life will feel normal again.

And I have got to give Tomlin some props because I have been murdering him for three straight years now. Please change my mind back Mike!!!

Nobody will enjoy eating their hat more with a side of crow and humble pie for dessert.

Appears Danny Smith has great personnel for his techniques. Austin has been solid. It wasn't long ago we held our breath during punts AND a lot of us were calling for Bubblegums head on a stake. Waitman has been fantastic.

I don't buy into Refs/NFL pulling for the Jets. I have a very hard time imagining this NFL pulling for an outspoken "conspiracy theorist" to be their cinderella story. I do believe gambling has a heavy influence and I'll stop with that. Not a fan of having betting thrust into my face 24/7 on all media. It's predatory and disgusting. My opinion and I respect yours -

Jackson injured his shoulder and was unable to return. I am concerned that he will have to sit out at least the game against the Giants. He was still on the sideline in uniform at the end of the game. I'm hoping that is a good sign. I'm amazed they didn't give up any points with Pierre getting starter's reps the entire second half.

I've been waiting for him to be healthy and getting a start.

Showing the field general he is. A wealth of experience. It was time to make the switch. Not much for Tomlin but he made the right choice.

Other then running Fields cannot do the things that Wilson can do. And he has had time to learn, take care of the shortcomings. I don't know if he has that capability.

We can afford him to sit if needed against the pathetic Giants. Then the bye.

Yeah they mentioned during the game that he was questionable to return, but never did. Hope it's not a long term injury.

You are correct the Giants are pathetic but I still have nightmares from last year losing to the 1-6 Cardinals and Patriots in back to back weeks.

I hear you. I was in the stadium for this mess of a loss. First game I saw where they lost live

Still had a great time with friends though. Shout out to CP, Cami and Gage! :drinks:

    Great list.

Mason McCormick is a nasty dude. He's becoming a favorite. Sorry for Daniels (and Herbig) going down but the IOL is looking good and Frazier will be back after the bye. Jones looked better. All the attention to the OL the last two years is going to be big going forward. The replacement backups are adequate, too. Hopefully TroyF is recovering well.

The best part of all is Denver is paying him $38,200,000 to play for us. :roflmao:

They were damn close to blocking a punt too. This is going to be a problem for other teams' special coaches to deal with, because it's no fluke.

I did not like the McCormick pick when they made it, but I'm certainly glad they have him now. The kid has stepped up far earlier than they planned and done solid work.

The defense realized they weren't going to sack Rodgers much because he was getting rid of the ball too quickly, but they had like 4-5 batted down passes.

It's amazing to see how the passing game opens up the runs, when you don't have defensive 8 guys in the box.

    Come On Man....

You did not give any credit to Mike Tomlin for having the idea to start Russell Wilson, when everyone was yelling at him to go with Justin Fields.
