    1. It wasn't always pretty, but Russell Wilson threw the passes that Justin Fields was afraid to

    2. Ryan McCollum did an admirable job in place of Zach Frazier

    3. Beanie Bishop played the game of his life

    4. It won't show on the stat sheet, but Alex Highsmith was a force

    5. The officiating was atrocious

    6. Isaac Seomalo and Mason McCormick were bullies

    7. Can't believe there was a time not long ago that I wanted Danny Smith replaced

    8. George Pickens was a human highlight reel

    9. Najee seems to be on a mission

    10. Deshon Elliott continues to show how important his acquisition was

    11. Ho hum...... Boz is still automatic

Agree with all. I could probably add 10 more positives to that list, but I need to get to bed.

Always look forward to this thread. Really like how we have become a kick blocking team, like the mid 80s Chiefs and the 70's Vikings.

Spot on as usual. OL brought it tonight. And as much as I don't like to hear complaining about officiating, man the refs really sucked tonight.

Crazy stats is that the steelers are now at +60 in points differenciel!...Best in the NFL is at +66 right now

They had a negative point differenciel in each of the last 3 years and after 7 games last year, they were at -34 points despite their 4-3 record at that time....Much better team this year!

They were horrid and most of it went against the Steelers.

The line was great in the second half, but there were some serious issues in pass protection early on.

Again your list is swift and all points agreed on blackandgoldpatrol

I would add Tomlin made the right choice and it was time to start Russell Wilson.

#2 He played like an old pro! I was impressed.

#6 Love it! Grinding and grinding them into submission

Danny Smith is widely regarded as one of the best Special Teams coaches in the NFL.

He already was before he came here, we lucked out we were able to get him from such a bad franchise like the Redskins/Commanders.

#5. The Jets had quit and ready to limp away with their tails tucked between their legs but the refs were frantically still trying to keep them in the game.

i really believe #2 was the key to the whole game. If he sucked we lose bad. Russ had time and he made some nice blocks for the rb’s!!! #10 is big on d, spot on.

Najee with back-to-back 100 yard rushing games with a TD, but they don't to pay him 6 million in 2025 .

I think what tonight proves is you need to be a threat to pass if you want to run in today’s NFL.

We haven’t been a threat to stretch the field for a long time here, it’s made Najee’s job nigh impossible. The rest of this year could be special for him.

nice to see Muth and Washington get action - almost 90 yards between the two of them.

Waitman has been solid - 3 of 4 punts inside the 20.

    1. Wilson has more variety in the bag o' tricks than Fields has shown us so far. Side arm below the defenders, arching floaters, throws hitting receivers in perfect stride. I really hope he is taking Fields under his wing, but Fields did not look super happy on the sideline. Understandable, but I hope it does not spoil the magic in Camelot.

    2. You would never know that he was not a starter. When the center never draws attention, you know that he is doing good.

    3. He is probably responsible for something like a 24 point difference? Took 2 drives away from Rodgers and let us put the points up instead.

    4. I think that TJ did not get anything replay worthy other than the blocked pass. I also think he deserves a shout out though. He was pulling 1.5 defenders to cover him which makes other areas more vulnerable. He very frequently had 2 guys meet his rush. When it was not 2, one guy would chip him to the outside and that big right guard would greet him like a long lost brother.

    5. Pretty sure that they were trying to give the NFL a Cinderella story with Rodgers and Adams.

    8. Left it all on the field for sure. If that ball is within a sphere 20 foot in diameter with Pickens at the center of it, he has a better than even chance of catching it while fighting off multiple defenders......lol (try visualizing that one nerds!)

    9. Najee saw the holes many times tonight and gashed the Jets for good gains. There was only 1 run where he was busted in the backfield that stands out in my mind. Twice, the refs blew the whistle on his run too soon IMO, especially the second time they did it.

Couple of other points. The first half sucked. Tackling was as bad as it gets. I felt like they were playing a game of tag the other guy's ankle. So many missed tackles where they just managed to touch a lower leg. Once again, if we could only have 2 second halves in a single game......we would be unstoppable.

The Jets D is ranked in the middle of the pack to a few spots back from that, depending on where you look. I think that helped us out. Or maybe we just overwhelmed them....lol

The blocked field goal was awesome. It was like our guys held up a picket fence because there were so many arms and hands in the air. Very well done.
