I have to admit I wasn't a fan of the trade when it happened sending Diontae to Carolina, but he has been a solid #2 CB a pleasant surprise with 3 interceptions.

Donte Jackson just may be the best number two Corner in the AFC right now. I myself was lukewarm to the idea but only because I was under the impression that the team was going to obtain Mike Sainristil in the draft. While the team didn't get him, Zach Frazier is by no means chopped liver there.

Furthermore, Cory Trice Jr is injured and on IR at the moment. Having Donte is much better than not having him given the limited amount of depth currently available in the CB Room.

And to think there is at least one poster here who still thinks we should have kept Diontae Johnson and Omar screwed up

Laughing my butt off on that one

Same exactly for me. He's way better than I thought, and I'm actually expecting him to improve

Count me as one who was skeptical, I would also like to give a shout out to Dashon Elliot,
he has played good ball also, and not afraid to tackle.

I am guessing you can't read a stat line.

The entire Steelers WR room has 1 TD, DJ has 3 TDs. Right now DIontae Johnson is 3 times better than all the Steelers WRs put together.

Again that is DJ 3 , and all the Steelers WRs 1.

What do you think... 6 - 0 or 5 - 1, if DJ is currently on this team?

    3-3

And a locker room in a total mess

And DJ with zero TD just like all of 2022

    Additional by subtraction

He was a cancer on this team

Brice this isn’t Madden or fantasy football where team chemistry doesn’t count

That is simple Steelers draft Quinyon Mitchell with their first pick. That is called a Win - Win.

That stupid trade easily cost us Quinyon Mitchell in the draft.

our draft need was / is OLINE. we MUST win better in the trenches. FO has failed to get that right for about 10 years now. DJ was heading for a disastrous ending here, as was documented ad nauseam all offseason. Look at it like a GM and not a fan. it is a business first.

he was a clown , too.

I totally understand why they got rid of Him, but to say he sucks is pretty crazy. He has produced every single year he has played....except one, and look at the Qb play then.

    Except two

    2022 zero touchdowns

2023 only 5 touchdowns and ranked about 75th statistically which makes him pretty much a middle of the road number 3 receiver

You are smart Guy. You know Qb play comes into that. For example: From day one He was a help in the passing game, and progressed in yards, and tds every year under Ben, and as soon as Ben left....he had his worst year.
Anyways it's foolish to argue over spilled milk. What's done is done.

Yeah Jackson picked off Kirk Cousins to seal the deal for us in Atlanta, so he contributed greatly to that win.

he has helped keep that half of the D in tact, most of the season.

I thought he would be a good player, but not this good.

And I'm curious how Sutton will be for us starting in November.

Trading Johnson for Jackson was fine, but doing so without finding a viable replacement for Johnson was stupid.

I am guessing we will make a move.....still.

But - I have been on the WRONG side of WR guesses for 5 months.
