I mean, reports after the new 49ers contract said that the Niners told Aiyuk that you have until this time to sign the new contract or you're being traded to the Steelers. Aiyuk choose to stay. Sounds to me like Kahn had the deal in place and the Niners agreed and Aiyuk choose to stay...not sure how that is on Kahn.

The NFL isn't a video game. Players have some say in where they want to go. Adams selected to go to the better QB.

Also, as bad as the Steelers passing game has been, Pickens has more catches and yards than Aiyuk with a worse OC and QB....they both have 0 touchdowns.

 

Well time to try and get Darius Slayton or DeAndre Hopkins

Don’t have a great feeling about this Jets game Sunday night after the Jets lost last night and dropped to 2-4. They are gonna be really desperate to win this game now and save their season and avoid dropping to 2-5 which would be an extremely difficult hole to dig out of. This is a huge huge 2 game swing game now after the Jets loss last night. The Steelers will either be 5-2 with a win and drop the Jets to 2-5 or the Steelers will be 4-3 with a loss and the Jets will be 3-4 with a win and a game behind the Steelers with the head to head tiebreaker as well. So this is a huge game now when it comes to the Steelers playoff chances and pretty much having a chance to bury the Jets playoff chances. If the Steelers win this game they are 5-2 and 4-1 in the AFC with head to head tiebreakers over the Broncos, Chargers, Raiders, and Jets in the AFC which is huge when it comes to making the playoffs.

 

adams is coming to pittsburgh. he'll be here Sunday.

 

I'm not too worried about the defense in the game, remember Alex Highsmith comes back this week

Steelers are not a WR away from winning a Super Bowl. No need for his contract, let alone the pick. He's also been a little prickly last couple years. Sure it would have been exciting at first, but my guess is the Steelers would have been in virtually the same spot but with a very expensive cap hit.

No real WR should ever want to come to Steelers. Aiyuk and Adams have now both said no to coming to Steelers.

 

The Steelers are not winning a damn thing this year, will lose a 4th for Fields, and have several needs next year. Giving a 3rd rounder and then paying an old WR huge money is a bad idea.
