steve breaston is coming in thursday and we are in process of restructuring ben and lawrence at least. if we sign him do we still need a wr in the draft?

Id say so...if someone good is there you take him. Cotchery is 30 or 31...Breaston is 29 so he's got a little left. And then all you have is Brown and Sanders. A rookie to round out and make it 5 WRs would be a good idea.

Yes, but we don't necessarily need a day 1 contributor. We could take a more developmental guy - and there are a few guys with high potential who will go in rounds 3-6

wow good question. what does sanders cost to keep? 1.3 mil. he's been hurt every year. i really like sanders though.

cotchery i like. we only save a mil if we cut cotchery.

i could see MT wanting to get more vet leadership besides just cotchery's in here for these young guys. breaston,AB,cotchery, sanders, draft pick (woods):smiley1:, would be a good looking wideout bunch going into the season.

We've got David Gilreath(sp?) as a developmental guy. Right about now I really wish Tony Clemons was still around.

Boy, that would be a surprise... He definitely falls into the high potential category, but I don't see him being worth #17.

We still need a fast receiver to replace Mike Wallace so yes you draft one. It's a good situation a rookie won't have the pressure to start his first season just work him into the offense. The Steelers did the same thing when Wallace was drafted we had veteran receivers ahead of him so just give him some plays every now and then.
