Expectations for this week besides an epic choke job by Tomlin.
#1. Clueless gameplan on both sides of the ball where you wonder if the coaching staff watches a minute of film.
#2. Overconfident and overpaid defense lets a D rated QB shred us like they are Pat Mahomes.
#3. The team will get behind by 2 scores and then make it close only to lose.
#4. Team and Tomlin to let down us diehard steelers fans by losing a 3rd game in a row to a crap team.
#5. Know that we have a crazy hard schedule last 8 games and we are heading for a 7-10 season.

definition of insanity: doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Cheap weak owner keeps coach who is a dodo bird on offense in a offense first league. Steelers have only won Trophies when we had a top 11 first round drafted qb. We are wasting our time, need total rebuild and start with head coach, then QB, then a wr who is not a diva.

The Raiders have raised the white flag by starting Aiden O'Connell at QB and have absolutely no one at RB or WR. If the Steelers lose this game then they are in deep jeopardy of having their first losing season since 2003.

My only concern is that the Steelers treat it as another preseason game, like Indy.

The only thing that worries me about their offense is Brock Bowers, the Steelers always have trouble covering the opposing TE and Bowers is going to be a great one.

If they can lose to the Cowboys with their practice squad defense, and a 3+ turnover advantage, they can certainly lose to the Raiders backups on offense. I hope they've realized by now that they're not good enough to take anyone lightly.

That actually sounds just like the situation that usually leads to a Steelers loss...... Third string QB with no weapons tearing our defense apart. Seen it way too often.

Since the outcome has apparently already been determined, why even bother watching and feeding those ulcers? Maybe go rotate the air in your tires instead.

I suggest also to check and flush headlight fluid.

People always forget about that! No wonder they burn out. Not enough fluid in them!

Remember Mike Glennon? Backup QB who is undefeated against the Steelers in the Popcorn era. I have documented his beat downs of the Steelers with Bucs and Raiders.

You don't take anyone lightly. People seem to think this NFL is a game. It's a job. Do your job better than the next guy or lose your job to the next guy.
This is not Bama/Vandy after all. Oh, wait...

Look, I get that this is a perfect time for a "Tomlin Special", but no need to doompost prior to the game. In all honesty, the ups and downs on the board can get exhausting at times. When we're winning, we nitpick nearly everything. When we're losing, its just the end of the world, our franchise, the legacy of everyone involved, etc. We really need to be realistic. Yes, I expect this to be an uncomfortably close game. Tomlin finds a way to do this year in and year out against inferior opponents and back up QB's, and we don't have Ben to just bail us out anymore. Everyone knows this already.

#1. Yes, the scripted part of the game has been a problem for Tomlin of late. The offense comes out super slow and the defense (even when they play great) finds a way to give up at least an early FG to the opposition.
#2. Hopefully this defense gets the wake-up call they need. We got the sacks and turnovers last week, but still lost by giving up a TD on the last drive. Hasn't been good enough the last two weeks. Absolutely have to rebound.
#3. That is how Indy went, and really too many countless others (especially playoff games of late). Who knows how this one will go.
#4. Just try to enjoy the game. We can be down on our chances without the expectation of the worst case scenario every week
#5. The schedule doesn't look nearly as hard as it did prior to the season. The Browns suck, the Bengals Defense is trash, the Ravens are pretty good but way more susceptible defensively than in years past, and the Chiefs and Eagles don't look anything like the teams that played in the Super Bowl a few seasons ago. Plus injuries can change everything between now and then. We have 3 VERY winnable games before the bye week. If we can manage to take care of business, 6-2 makes a 7-10 finish nearly impossible. I expect us to turn it around pre-bye, look a bit shaky at times in the home stretch but do just enough to scrape our way into playing meaningful games week 17 and 18. Its been the DNA of this team for a few years now and I don't expect it to change.

Players and coaches can DEFINTIELY take teams lightly... It happens all the time in the NFL. Yes, it is a job, but people go through the motions all the time in business. Not everyone is a true "professional".

Glennon was a Bear when he beat us in OT in 2017 but you are correct Glennon had a career record of 6-25 but was undefeated against the Steelers.

The Raiders are the same team who right now owns our division. They have beaten both the Ravens, and the Browns this year

That was with Minshew at QB and Adams had a big day receiving. Neither one will be playing this week. The Ravens have always had trouble against Minshew, he torched them last year as a Colt.

On MNF a Chiefs player had a penalty negating a big play and Andy Reid was furious. When was the last time Tomlin held a player accountable like that?

Taking lesser talent lightly is classic Tomlin and it inevitably bites us in the ass every year. So tired of it.

Apparently fairly often from what I see

You don’t have to be a drama queen to send a clear message

I’ve had a lot of people work for me and one told me I could tell someone to go to hell and make them look forward to the trip
